Everton are weighing up a summer move for Sevilla right-back Juanlu Sanchez, according to a report from TEAMtalk. The Toffees are keen to bolster their defensive options, especially following the departure of Ashley Young.

With Young gone, Everton’s current right-back choices are limited to Nathan Patterson, Jake O’Brien, and veteran Séamus Coleman. Patterson appears to be the long-term solution, while O’Brien—naturally a right-sided centre-back—offers versatility but lacks specialist experience. Coleman, now nearing 37, is unlikely to be a regular option for much longer.
In response, David Moyes is reportedly prioritising the addition of a young, dynamic right-back to inject fresh energy into his ageing backline.

Juanlu has enjoyed a rapid rise since making his senior debut in the 2021/22 season. He became a first-team regular during the 2023/24 campaign, amassing over 50 appearances for Sevilla and registering six goals and seven assists—a strong return for a full-back.
