Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today…

Marc Guiu has joined Sunderland on a season-long loan ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, CHELSEA have officially announced on the club website this week.

The Blues posted: ‘ The striker will continue his development at the newly-promoted club to build on a positive debut season at Chelsea.

‘Guiu made 16 appearances for Chelsea last season after arriving from Barcelona and struck six goals during our successful Conference League campaign.

‘Three of those came in a victory over Shamrock Rovers, a feat which resulted in Guiu becoming the second-youngest player (18 years and 350 days old) to net a hat-trick for Chelsea.

‘The 19-year-old also featured for the Blues at the Club World Cup, playing twice as we went on to be crowned world champions.

‘We look forward to supporting and monitoring Marc’s development throughout his loan at the Stadium of Light.

‘Good luck, Marc!’

Guia is a quality young striker that needs to be playing on a regular basis if he is to get to that level that he is good enough to play for Chelsea on a weekly basis. This is a very good move for the lad to make.

He should get alot more minutes than he has been at CHELSEA, he should improve over the next 12 months and he should come back next season ready to fight for that striker spot.

The Move to Chelsea was too early for the lad, so as we have just said, this is a very good move for Guia to make as he will surely develop, and the fact that the Blues have kept him in England will also improve his game.

Hopefully he stays away from injuries.

DREWSBURY-HALL LEAVES

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has left Chelsea and completed a permanent transfer to Premier League side Everton, the Blues have now officially revealed on the club website after the Merseysiders showed an interest.

CHELSEA have pretty done all their transfer business in bringing players in, as Jorrel Hato is the latest name to make the move to Stamford Bridge as Enzo Maresca builds a very exciting squad for next season.

But the Blues are now keen to make sure that they recoup some of that £250 million they have spent on new players this season, and have been working hard to get a number of players out the club, Drewsbury-Hall is a man that Maresca no longer needs.

The 26-year-old followed Maresca from Leicester to Chelsea last summer but was almost immediately linked with a transfer after struggling for game time at the Bridge, and now his move away from Chelsea have been confirmed by the Blues.

The Blues posted: ‘Kiernan joined the Blues from Leicester City in the summer of 2024 and the 26-year-old midfielder made 36 appearances across all competitions last season.

‘Dewsbury-Hall leaves Chelsea as a European and world champion, having been part of the group that won the Conference League and Club World Cup trophy.

‘We thank Kiernan for his efforts throughout his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his career.’

IcFootballnews says…

He is a decent player and moving to Everton is a great idea, he will play at a very high level and will get the game time that he needs to get his career right back on track.

It is a shame that he could not fulfil his potential at CHELSEA, but moving on is definitely the right decision, and the Blues have got some decent money in the process.

ESTEVAO REVEALS WHY HE JOINED CHELSEA

The latest arrival to make the move to CHELSEA this summer, Estevao Willian, has opened up and revealed just why he decided to snub Real Madrid, Arsenal and Barcelona and join the Blues.

Despite the fact that Estevao has only just arrived at Chelsea and playing on a weekly basis, there is already alot of excitement about what the Brazilian can bring to the club having made a big name for himself over in South America.

He was already one of the best players in the Brazilian league, is a full international and has many of the countries legends coming out and stating that he has the quality to go on and become one of the best players in world football.

Now – Estevao Willian has explained why he joined CHELSEA and snubbed transfer moves to the likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona: ‘Their plans, the structure and the club – everything,’ Estevao said.

‘But mainly the plans and the project the club has is what interested me and my family, and I think it was the best decision we could have made.’

Estevao has also expressed his admiration for Chelsea legend Eden Hazard and hopes to follow in the footsteps of a number of Brazilian players who’ve featured for the Blues over the years – including Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Ramires, Oscar and Willian.

‘Eden Hazard is the one that I watched the most at Chelsea,’ Estevao added. ‘He’s ace. [And] it’s a pleasure to be here where so many Brazilians made history.

‘I hope to follow those who wrote a beautiful story here at Chelsea just like they did.

‘After I had signed for Chelsea and in the final game of 2024, I played against Thiago Silva. He came and talked to me.

‘He said I was going to love the club, which has an incredible structure and is an incredible club. And now [I am here], I can see how amazing this club is.

‘[My long-term goals at Chelsea are] I want to win all the titles possible: the Premier League and the Champions League as well

‘And personally, to be the best in the world and keep working hard so that these dreams come true.’
