  • Eberechi Eze warned about joining Arsenal

    [ad_1]

Rio Ferdinand has warned Eberechi Eze he may struggle for game time if he joins ARSENAL from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window over the next couple of weeks.

Arsenal have been doing alot of transfer business have signed quite a few players and have spent over £200 million on new players already, but they are very interested in trying to get a transfer deal done for the impressive Eze.

Eze has established himself as one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League, helping Palace land a historic FA Cup trophy last term. The 27-year-old has played a total of 167 games for Palace to date, registering 40 goals and 28 assists for the south London club.

It has been claimed that Arsenal are willing to pay over £60 million to get a deal done for Eze, but amid all the speculation, Ferdinand has told the Englishman to think twice about a transfer.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand said: ‘I don’t think [Arsenal] need Eze. Why do [Arsenal] need Eze? Where is he going to play? You’ve got Martin Zubimendi as a holding midfielder, Declan Rice on the left-hand side of the No.8, Martin Odegaard on the right-hand side.

‘Then you’ve got a winger – out of Noni Madueke or Gabriel Martinelli… He’d play where Declan Rice plays.’

‘Yeah, he would give [Arsenal] depth. You could move it about. If Declan Rice gets injured, who have you got? Max Dowman.’

    IcFootballnews Says…

Look, if Eze does want to leave Palace this transfer window, then moving to ARSENAL may not be the best thing for his career right now, he would not get the game time that he wants or needs.

There are other clubs that are interested, who are also in the Champions League, that would probably be a better option for Eze, he cant just follow the money if he actually wants to pay at a top level.

  • Tottenham Hotspur Ready to Splash £43m on Conor Gallagher

Tottenham Hotspur Ready to Splash £43m on Conor Gallagher

    [ad_1]

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to launch a £43 million bid to sign Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid, according to Fichajes. The North London outfit remain keen to strengthen their midfield ranks, especially following James Maddison’s injury setback.

    Spurs Step Up Midfield Reinforcements

After securing João Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich and purchasing Mohammed Kudus earlier in the window, Spurs boss Thomas Frank is still looking for a creative No.10 to fill the Maddison void. Their initial approach for Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White fell through after the player opted to commit his future to the City Ground.

Now, Gallagher has emerged as the next big target.

Gallagher’s Atletico Struggles Could Open Premier League Return

The English midfielder made the move to Spain last summer but hasn’t found consistent minutes under Diego Simeone. Often played out of position on the flanks, Gallagher is believed to be open to returning to the Premier League where he can thrive in his natural central role.

With Atletico revamping their midfield this summer, they could be willing to offload the 24-year-old — and Tottenham are ready to pounce.

    What Gallagher Brings to Tottenham

Gallagher is a dynamic and versatile midfielder who previously impressed on loan at Crystal Palace and during spells at Chelsea. His energy, pressing, and attacking instinct would make him a strong fit alongside Pape Matar Sarr and Palhinha in a revamped Spurs midfield.

Tottenham’s engine room already boasts talent like Rodrigo Bentancur, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, and Yves Bissouma — although the latter has been linked with an exit.

Should Spurs land Gallagher, it could be one of the standout moves of their summer window.

One Eye on Bayern, Another on the Super Cup

Tottenham’s pre-season form has been mixed, with two wins and three draws. They face Bayern Munich next in a final warm-up before their UEFA Super Cup showdown against Paris Saint-Germain.

Will Conor Gallagher be in a Spurs shirt by then? The next few weeks could be decisive.

Man United’s Benjamin Sesko battle with Newcastle United: major update emerges this evening – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Manchester United’s battle with Newcastle United for the signature of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko took a huge twist this evening according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

    A tale of two cities

The two clubs have been locking horms over the transfer of the young striker, with Newcastle already having had a €75 million plus €5 million bid rejected by the German outfit.

It has been widely reported that the player was biding his time in deciding which club he would prefer to join, while for their part, United were said to be willing to match Newcastle’s bid for him.

    A new bid comes in

In a major update this evening, the renowned Ornstein claims that:

“Red Bull Leipzig have received an improved offer from Newcastle United to sign Benjamin Sesko.”

He added that the opening €75m + €5m bid “was deemed insufficient by Leipzig, leading Newcastle to raise that to at least €80m.

    Cold Feet

The hammer blow for United fans came in the reporter’s next sentence:

“Sesko is also wanted by Manchester United, but a proposal has yet to arrive from Old Trafford and the figures they have indicated a willingness to pay are lower than those of Newcastle at present.

He adds that Newcastle are now in a much stronger position than United “after a day of positive talks held by their co-owner Jamie Reuben with Leipzig and the 22-year-old striker.”

Ornstein does offer hope to United, noting that Sesko’s preference will determine the outcome to some extent. There is a “gentleman’s agreement” in place between player and club that he will be allowed to leave if a suitable offer comes in.

The reporter believes it unlikely, however, that Leipzig would agree to sell to United for a fee they have already rejected from Newcastle even if the player’s preference were to join the Red Devils.

United will bid if the player picks them

Another top tier reporter, Fabrizio Romano, corroborated Ornstein’s story this evening, adding that they “confirmed again to RB Leipzig that they will bid if Šeško picks them.”

  • Will Chelsea sack boss Enzo Maresca?

    [ad_1]

Jeff Stelling has shockingly declared that CHELSEA head coach Enzo Maresca is under ‘pressure’ heading into the new Premier League season, after the impressive first season he had at the club

Maresca has worked miracles since replacing Mauricio Pochettino last year, helping the Blues win the Conference League and Club World Cup over the past few months and building a side that is capable of winning that Premier League title.

But football pundit Stelling has fired a massive warning to Maresca if Chelsea suffer a poor start to the 2025-26 campaign, as in a talkSPORT YouTube video titled ‘Maresca and Amorim are in BIG DANGER of getting sacked if they have POOR starts, he said ‘You might not agree with this – and sorry Chelsea fans.

‘Club World Cup winners and spending a fortune, Enzo Maresca needs to deliver. He’s now under pressure because there’s expectation on him.

‘They have four London derbies in their first four games and then Manchester United away, Brighton at home, Liverpool at home and Nottingham Forest away.

‘It’s a tough, tough start and they’ve not had much of a break [over the summer].

‘If they start poorly, I think people will be saying, ‘We expect more than that’ – because people do expect more of Chelsea now.

‘As Club World Cup winners, going out there and doing brilliantly… Chelsea will be expected to produce in the Premier League and so will Maresca.

‘I’m not saying he’s going to be sacked after eight games and in actual fact they might have a terrific start.

‘They could win them all – but if they don’t – I’m just saying he’d be under pressure.’

    IcFootballnews Says…

The pressure comes with managing a massive club like CHELSEA, Maresca will be used to that and to be honest, the club will not make the mistake of letting him go early in the season if a bad start happens.

Maresca will always be under pressure at Chelsea even if he wins the Premier League and Champions League, the Blues board always expect to be winning things

  • Spurs considering ambitious move for Rodrygo

Spurs considering ambitious move for Rodrygo

    [ad_1]

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing an audacious swoop for Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes as they brace for life without Son Heung-min.

According to AS via Sport Witness, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is lining up the Brazilian international as the ideal successor to their long-serving captain. With Son reportedly set to leave this summer, the North London club are keen to bring in a marquee name—and Rodrygo fits the bill.

Son Set to Depart, Spurs Eye Star-Powered Replacement

Son Heung-min’s potential exit marks the end of an era at Tottenham. The South Korean talisman has been a fan favourite and a consistent performer, but recent developments suggest he’s ready for a new challenge. His departure would not only leave a void in the squad but also free up around €11 million per year in wages—giving Spurs some serious financial flexibility.

At just 24, the Brazilian has already lifted Champions League and La Liga titles with Real Madrid. But with competition for places fierce under incoming boss Xabi Alonso, Rodrygo’s future at the Bernabéu looks increasingly uncertain. That has opened the door for Tottenham to make their move.

Daniel Levy Ready to Break the Bank

Tottenham have reportedly held previous talks with Rodrygo’s camp, who are demanding a €10 million per year salary. Real Madrid, meanwhile, are expected to seek a fee of at least €90 million.

While Rodrygo had initially turned down a move to North London, the equation might now change. Arsenal and Liverpool—previously linked—have reportedly cooled their interest, leaving Spurs in pole position to strike.

Spurs Face Crunch Time in Transfer Window

With Thomas Frank now steering the ship, Tottenham are working hard to reshape their attack. Mohammed Kudus has already been added, but Levy wants more firepower—and Rodrygo is now their top priority.

Time will tell whether Spurs can pull off what would be one of the boldest moves of the summer. But with Son’s legacy looming large, Tottenham need a big name. And Rodrygo could just be the man to take up that mantle.

Bryan Mbeumo: Ruben Amorim gives blunt review of debutante’s performance vs Everton – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim gave an honest review of his side’s 2-2 draw with Everton tonight, singling out several players in particular.

While Man United came away with the Premier League Summer Series trophy, the team was disappointed to be held to a 2-2 draw with the Toffees despite dominating much of the game.

    The overall team performance

“Let’s talk about the tour, I think it was really important for us, it was perfect for us, because we had time to work. In the end, we have a feeling that we have to do a lot of work still,” Amorim explained, pulling no punches in his critique of his team.

“It was a good tour – today, we didn’t play quite well. We struggled especially with the buildup. We struggled with long balls and second balls from the opponents, so we have a lot to do.”

    The standout player

While Bruno Fernandes grabbed a goal and an assist, it was Mason Mount who got an honourable mention by Amorim in his post-match TV interview.

“He does everything 100%. Every training, every game, he’s always the same player. For you to maintain the consistency, you have to work, and he works a lot.”

Still, he also dedicated some time to shine a light on Bryan Mbeumo, who made his debut for the club.

    Amorim on Mbeumo

“I think he played well, of course, he needs to improve in a lot of things,” Amorim explained.

“You can feel that the physicality of Bryan is not perfect. That is normal, but the first touch, the way he turns, to connect with the other guys, the runs that he made is really important.”

“He’s going to be really important in our team,” Amorim concluded, revealing his high expectations for Mbeumo.

With one pre-season match to go – a home game against Fiorentina – Mbeumo will be raring to prove himself further.

Of course, given Amorim’s assessment, it seems that Mbeumo could have a major responsibility for United in the season to come.

  • Donnarumma – Isak – Gyokeres feature in Arsenal news now

    [ad_1]

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that you guys may have missed…

PSG star Gianluigi Donnarumma would be a massive signing for the likes of ARSENAL this summer window, reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed after it was claimed the Italian is leaving the European Champions.

Regarded as one of the finest stoppers in the world, Gianluigi Donnarumma is not pleased with his current situation at Paris Saint-Germain, according to the many reports in the media over the past few days.

The 26-year-old is yet to reach an agreement over a new contract with PSG and is entering the final year of his deal at the Parc des Princes. As such, Chelsea, United and Arsenal are keeping close tabs on the Italy No. 1’s situation,

Now – according to a recent report on L’Equipe, PSG officials are looking to sell star goalkeeper Donnarumma this summer after the Italian refused to sign a new contract. The reigning European and French champions do not want to go through a similar situation to Mbappe’s when the France captain walked out of the club as a free agent in the summer of 2024 and joined Real

And according to Stanley, he would be a massive signing for Arsenal, he told icfootballnews: “The 6ft5in Italy shot-stopper is an enormous presence in the goalmouth and is very tough to beat on a weekly basis.

“It feels like Donnarumma has gone to even greater heights this season, playing a crucial role in Paris St-Germain’s incredible season, and helping them win their first Champions League title

“David Raya has been impressive in that ARSENAL goalmouth over the past 12 months, but there is still some doubt that he is the man to help the Gunners finally win that Premier League title, with many believing that a new goalkeeper is needed.

“Donnarumma would be a substantial upgrade, and would be a man that could be the goalkeeper at Arsenal for the next 10 years, he is only 26 years of age.’

    ARSENAL GET BIG BOOST

Liverpool will not lodge a second bid for Alexander Isak after their initial offer of £110million was rejected by Newcastle, which will hand ARSENAL a massive boost going into the new Premier League season.

The Premier League champions were keen on landing the Swedish centre-forward despite splashing £69m on Hugo Ekitike, whom they beat Newcastle to the signing of last month.

It was yesterday widely reported that Newcastle have rejected Liverpool’s first official offer for Isak, as Arne Slot was open to signing the big man, but the Reds have now called time on negotiations as they dont want to pay over the odds for the big star.

The Premier League champions will not make a second bid for the Swede, with Ben Jacobs reporting that they consider the pursuit ‘futile’.

The nature of Newcastle’s rejection has led them to abandon their attempts to sign the player. The Magpies were known to be ‘desperate’ to keep hold of the player, who was open to the move.

    IcFootballnews Says…

The news will be a massive boost to rivals ARSENAL, who have been chasing Isak for the last few windows but instead sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon just last month.

If Liverpool did manage to sign one of the best strikers around, a man that has already proven that he can score 20 goals in the Premier League, they would once again be firm favourites to win that title, the Reds have already made some brilliant signings this summer.

But there us still plenty of time for any potential move to happen, if the reports are not true and Liverpool will go back in, that attack next season will be even more dangerous than it is now.

But is Isak cant get a move to Liverpool, where does he go now?

    ARTETA MAKES GYOKERS ADMISSION

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was optimistic about what is to come for Viktor Gyokeres after the new ARSENAL striker made his debut in a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last week.

The Swedish striker has taken the No.14 shirt at the Emirates, once worn by legend Thierry Henry. Arsenal have signed Gyokeres in a deal worth £63.5million, an initial £54.8m up front, with a further £8.7m in additional clauses.

    Getty

The 27-year-old has penned a five-year deal worth around £300,000-a-week. The 6ft 2in ace crashed in 97 goals and 102 appearances for Sporting Lisbon, including a stunning Champions League hat-trick against Manchester City last season.

And after seeing the big striker in action over the past few days, and although his debut may not have been ideal, the best is surely still to come and Arteta is looking forward to see just what the forward can achieve at the club – Arteta said: “Really happy obviously to have [debutants Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera] here, I think they’re going to have a lot of value.

‘You see this right away, as well as the energy and the quality that they’re going to bring. It was a short one but at least that one is off now and when they play against Villarreal now, I’m sure it will be a bit different.”

    IcFootballnews Says…

In that ARSENAL attack, Gyokeres could score more than 50 goals again in the coming season, he really is one of the best forwards in the world and a man that many Gunners fans are excited about.

He will surely bang in 30 goals this coming season as he will be playing in an Arsenal attack that is one of the best in world football, not just the Premier League.

But it will be interesting to see just how he copes, the Premier League is a few steps up from the Portuguese League.
