Liverpool has also announced plans to release a special in-house documentary, featuring reflections from players on their title-winning campaign and celebrating the impact Jota had on and off the pitch.

Several players featured in the trailer before Jota featured with the club icon saying: “To arrive at this particular season with the title I’ve been chasing for a lot of years. It is a remarkable achievement. It’s a moment I will cherish forever. It was outstanding.”

It also captures the extraordinary scenes of celebration at Anfield, where fans and players alike marked the historic title win with unmatched passion and joy.

Goalkeeper Alisson spoke over a clip where players and staff were celebrating together and said: “I think this picture shows a lot about how we value every person at this club.”

Jota makes his first appearance in the video shortly after, seated for an interview where he reflects on the defining moments of the season.

Brought to Liverpool by Jürgen Klopp in 2020, just after their previous league triumph, the Portuguese forward had to wait five years to finally experience title success with the club.

Also included in the trailer was Dominik Szoboszlai, playing in his second campaign at Anfield, claiming: “A little kid’s dream came true.” Mohamed Salah said: “They know the love I have for them. It is a great moment.”

Liverpool has continued to honor Diogo Jota’s memory, revealing that his iconic No. 20 shirt will be retired in tribute to the late forward. The club is set to play its first Premier League home match since his passing when they host Bournemouth on Friday.

Captain Virgil van Dijk expressed frustration over the backlash surrounding Sunday’s tribute to Jota, which was prematurely halted.

Having shared the pitch with Jota throughout his time at Anfield, the Dutch defender admitted he felt deeply disappointed by the reaction.

“Yes, I am disappointed,” the defender said. “That is the only thing I can say. I don’t know who did that but there was plenty trying to shush it down, but obviously that doesn’t help it. But it is what it is. You can’t control how many fans were here today? Was it 80,000 people? So, yeah, it is disappointing to hear that, but if that person or those persons can go home and be happy with themselves, then …”

Slot didn’t feel there was any ill-feeling behind the disruption from the Crystal Palace supporters and said: “We will see Friday, when Bournemouth come to our stadium, how respectful that is going to happen.”
