Manchester City Set to Launch €70 Million Bid for Atalanta Midfield Star Ederson

    [ad_1]

Manchester City are reportedly preparing a €70 million bid for Atalanta’s dynamic midfielder Ederson, as Pep Guardiola looks to reshape his squad this summer.

According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, City are stepping up their pursuit of the 24-year-old Brazilian, who has been a standout performer in Serie A. With interest also coming from Liverpool and Manchester United, the Premier League champions are keen to move quickly and fend off competition for Ederson’s signature.

    Midfield Revamp on Guardiola’s Agenda

After a demanding season that exposed some cracks in midfield depth, Guardiola is eager to bolster his engine room. The Catalan boss is eyeing all-action midfielders capable of complementing Rodri — with Ederson and AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders among his top targets.

City’s interest in Ederson signals their intent to bring in a physically dominant, technically gifted midfielder. The Brazilian has not only impressed at club level with Atalanta but was also recently called up to Brazil’s national team under Carlo Ancelotti.

Can City Beat Rivals to the Punch?

Atalanta are believed to value Ederson slightly higher than €70 million, but City’s bid may be enough to tempt them into negotiations. Liverpool and Manchester United remain in the frame, but City’s ambition to act fast could make all the difference.

Should the deal go through, Ederson would be a powerful addition alongside Rodri — potentially forming one of the most robust midfield duos in the Premier League.

Man United “continue to circle” around Man City star James McAtee – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Manchester United are still interested in an explosive raid on local rival Manchester City to sign James McAtee, according to a report.

In April, the Red Devils were linked with a shock move for the 22-year-old midfield, who retains the versatility to play in a number of different positions – an attractive trait in Ruben Amorim’s system.

They were joined in the hunt for McAtee by Nottingham Forest and Bayer Leverkusen – who were establishing potential plans to replace their creative talismans, Morgan Gibbs-White and Florian Wirtz – as well as AC Milan and Newcastle United.

McAtee’s contract at the Etihad expires next summer (2026) meaning this transfer window would constitute the last opportunity for the Citizens to cash in on their academy star.

Pep Guardiola has previously spoken about his wish to keep the England U-21 star international at the club but acknowledged the importance of first-team minutes for a young player.

“For the age, I’d like him to stay. But I understand players want more minutes. He can play different positions but I don’t know how the squad will be and we will see,” the Spanish manager said in April.

The news that Guardiola has now excluded McAtee from City’s squad for the Club World Cup this month has reignited noises that the midfielder will now depart.

The Mirror reveals, “Manchester City have opted against including James McAtee in their squad for the Club World Cup as their neighbours Manchester United continue to circle. The snub could prove telling as the academy graduate weighs up his future.

“City will jet halfway across the world to play in the tournament but won’t go with McAtee, who instead has been added to England’s pre-tournament training squad ahead of the U21s Euros in Slovakia.”

This omission means “potential suitors are beginning to circle and one of those is the Red Devils. Selling direct to the Old Trafford outfit would prove a hugely controversial move, especially as McAtee is tipped to have a bright future,” the report states.

McAtee is believed to prefer a move to Germany after seeing “first-hand” how young English players, such as Jadon Sancho Jude Bellingham, have thrived since joining Bundesliga sides.

But United are evidently keeping a keen eye on developments on the blue side of Manchester as Old Trafford executives consider a blockbuster move for the 22-year-old midfielder.

  • Real Madrid open sellling Rodrygo to Chelsea

    [ad_1]

It has been claimed in the media once again that Real Madrid will be open to letting long-term CHELSEA and Arsenal transfer target Rodrygo leave this summer, if they receive the right offer.

Rodrygo has scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists in 50 appearances this season, but Tension has been building between the Brazilian and Real with the winger unhappy with his role in the team with his relationship with his teammates deteriorating significantly.

The former Santos starlet, who joined Real for €45million in 2018, is ‘angry’ with his diminished role and it has been claimed that he would be open to leaving the Spaniards over the next few months, with reports suggesting that he believes he has played his last game for Real.

Now, according to AS Madrid could be willing to part ways with the Brazilian forward if a substantial offer arrives. The ultimate decision, however, will rest with both Rodrygo and new head coach Xabi Alonso, who is reportedly scheduled to speak directly with the player soon.

However, It was claimed Real will be demanding a fee of €100million (£85m) for the player, and he will also look for wages around the £300k-a-week mark.

    icfootballnews says…

Rodrygo has been world class for a few seasons, he is playing at Real and scoring the goals that big time players should be scoring, but his time at the club is probably coming to the end as the Spaniards look to keep on improving the side.

However – Arsenal and CHELSEA do not really need to splash the cash and add another winger to that attack, they already have a number of players that can do the job that Rodrygo does and we are sure that a move to the London clubs will not happen.

If he does leave Madrid, it could be for a move to Saudi Arabia or PSG, that would suit his style of football.

  • Man United in Pole Position to Sign Albacete Wonderkid Christian Kofane

Man United in Pole Position to Sign Albacete Wonderkid Christian Kofane

    [ad_1]

Manchester United are leading the chase to sign 18-year-old Cameroonian sensation Christian Kofane, according to Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness. The promising striker, currently plying his trade at Albacete, is also on the radar of Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, but it’s the Red Devils who appear to be in the driving seat.

Rising Star: Who is Christian Kofane?

Born in Douala, Cameroon, Kofane has been turning heads since making the leap to Spain, joining Albacete’s youth setup just last year. His meteoric rise has been nothing short of remarkable. After starting with the under-19s, the teenager quickly broke into the senior side, making 19 appearances in La Liga 2 during the 2024/25 season — tallying an impressive eight goals and one assist.

    Europe’s Elite Watching Closely

Kofane’s explosive form hasn’t gone unnoticed. Alongside Manchester United and Atletico Madrid, European heavyweights like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Aston Villa have all shown interest. But with a modest release clause of just €5 million, United are looking to move swiftly to secure his signature.

    United’s Youth Focus Continues

This move would align perfectly with Manchester United’s current transfer strategy, which has seen a stronger emphasis on youth recruitment under figures like Christopher Vivell. With Kofane’s raw talent and sky-high potential, United may be about to land another future star.

  • Sporting CP reject Arsenal’s €70 million offer for Man United target Viktor Gyokeres – Man United News And Transfer News

Sporting CP reject Arsenal’s €70 million offer for Man United target Viktor Gyokeres – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Viktor Gyokeres after Sporting CP rejected a €70 million offer from Arsenal for the 26-year-old striker, according to a report from Portugal.

The two Premier League rivals are on the hunt for a new number nine this summer with Gyokeres rated highly by the recruitment departments at both the Emirates and Old Trafford, with good reason.

The Swedish international has scored an impressive 54 goals in 52 games for Sporting this season, providing a further 13 assists as well. He has almost single-handedly launched the Lisbon side to an impressive domestic double with Sporting beating out local rivals Benfica to win both Liga Portugal and the Taça de Portugal.

The previous season, Gyokeres scored 43 goals with 15 assists while Sporting won the league again, under Ruben Amorim’s stewardship. This brings the Swede’s total returns since arriving in the Portuguese capital to 97 goals and 28 assists in just 102 games – a truly staggering amount.

It’s evident, therefore, why Amorim is keen to reunite with his former pupil at Old Trafford after enduring a dismal season with the Red Devils since swapping Lisbon for Manchester to replace Erik ten Hag in November.

United’s attack was appalling this season with only four sides in the Premier League scoring fewer goals than the Reds – Everton and the three relegated teams, Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton. It’s little wonder why United finished in 15th with the front half of the team performing at a relegation candidate level.

A new striker is considered an urgent priority by Old Trafford executives with the club identifying Liam Delap as their “first-choice” option given the Ipswich forward’s £30 million relegation clause at Portman Road.

However, despite entering “face-to-face talks” with the 22-year-old, Delap rejected United’s advances in favour of joining Chelsea. But Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reveals Gyokeres has always been the “dream” target for United, suggesting a move for Delap was predicated on price rather than priority.

Romano contends Gyokeres will be allowed to leave Lisbon if Sporting receive a proposal worth around £55 million – a considerable escalation on Delap’s fee, but a significant escalation in player quality as well.

Arsenal have joined United in identifying Gyokeres as a target this summer as they seek to provide Mikel Arteta with a proper goal-scorer up front after the inconsistent performances of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

And according to Correio da Manhã, a Portuguese newspaper, the Gunners have seen a €70 million bid (£59m) for Gyokeres rejected by Sporting, indicating Romano’s assessment was incorrect.

“Sporting have rejected a €70 million offer from Arsenal to sign top scorer Viktor Gyokeres, Correio da Manhã has learned. The Swede’s agent has been in Lisbon since last week and has already met with Sporting officials. He presented a proposal from the Gunners that the Lions ended up rejecting.

“The thing is that Sporting, despite publicly saying that it has not received any contact from the Swede, wants to profit more from its main asset. Arsenal does not seem to be very willing to increase the proposal presented and has reportedly informed the club led by Frederico Varandas that it “will not enter auctions” for the top scorer in Portugal in the last two seasons.”

The fact that Arsenal appear unwilling to “increase the[ir] proposal” could provide United with a window of opportunity to lay down the requisite amount to secure their “dream” target.

The Reds’ budget is limited this summer, due to the constrained financial situation at Old Trafford, but if the club could expedite the sale of a player like Alejandro Garnacho, whose sale would constitute ‘pure profit’ from a PSR perspective due to his academy status, this may provide enough wiggle room to launch a blockbuster raid for Gyokeres.

  • Arsenal news: Perez – Lookman

    [ad_1]

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer speculation from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Ayoze Perez, Ademola Lookman and Joao Pedro that we think you may have missed…

Reporter Iomie Stanley has told Mikel Arteta the the players he should look to bring to ARSENAL in the summer  window, as he would like Atalanta star Ademola Lookman to be brought to the Emirates.

The north London club finished second behind Premier League champions Liverpool this season and failed to add to the single trophy – the 2020 FA Cup – won by Arteta during his five-and-a-half-year reign to date.

The fact that Arsenal have had to use midfielder Mikel Merino as their main striker even since the January window closed as got many fans hoping that a new forward is signed this transfer window if they want to win some trophies next season.

And if Arsenal need further attacking options in the summer window after they manage to get a new striker, they might want to delve into that transfer kitty and possibly bring Lookman to the Emirates.

According to GiveMeSport, the forward has been offered to the Gunners.

Lookman has been a revelation in Italy, amassing 20 goals and seven assists in 40 appearances this season and Stanley says that he could be an amazing signing for the Gunners, he told icfootballnews: He looked amazing again this season, he has been brilliant since his move to Italian football.

‘He has shown pace, quality and the ability to find the back of the net on a regular basis.

‘Arsenal have a world class attack, but have players that cannot score the amount of goals that Arteta would like, adding a new striker to the attack will be the number one priority for Arsenal this summer, but maybe another winger will be added too.

‘Nobody can tell what Arteta can do, but Lookman is certainly a player that could make an impact in that Arsenal shirt.

‘And to be honest, if he wants to come back to the Premier League, ARSENAL would be a very good option for the winger.

    SHOCK AYOZE PEREZ CLAIMED MADE

Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes has told CasinoHawks, who offer the latest online casinos, that ARSENAL need to sign ex-Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez.

Despite missing four months through injury, Kai Havertz is the club’s top scorer in the Premier League this season with just nine goals and they can no longer rely on Gabriel Jesus thanks to his fitness issues.

Plenty of names have been linked with the Emirates including Newcastle United star Alexander Isak, while reports suggest their striker search is down to two names: RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres.

However – Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes has claimed that Arsenal should sign Perez, who spent eight-and-a-half years in England with Newcastle United and Leicester City, yet hit double figures in the league just once.

He said: “If Arsenal want a striker from LaLiga, a Spaniard who comes to mind right now is Perez.

“He left Betis for Villarreal, and he’s become desirable for the big teams because he’s scored a lot of goals and is playing very well.

“Another name is Alexander Sorloth, at the start of the season I thought he was going to be one of the most important strikers in our league,

“If you dig a little deeper into the search for players who are starting to emerge they’re cheaper, so you have to make that decision.

“Emerging players are cheaper, but you need players that can instantly perform in the Premier League.”

    IcFootballnews say…

The Spaniard turns 32 in the summer so it would seem unlikely that ARSENAL would look at him, but this has been the best season of his career by far, with 22 goals in 32 games.

He is enjoying his football over in La Lia, but despite his impressive season, this is one deal that will surely not happen.

ARSENAL BACKED TO SIGN JOAO PEDRO

Colin Kazim-Richards has urged ARSENAL to sign Joao Pedro from Brighton, with the Gunners looking to add a new attacker to the forward line that will add some silverware to the cabinet.

Pedro was incredible last season, scoring 20 goals in all competitions and has impressed once again this season albeit not being as prolific in front of goal, but he is really rated very highly by many bosses in the Premier League

Liverpool are one of a number of clubs that have been linked with a possible move for the attacker, as there is alot of speculation about the future of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, who has not impressed boss Arne Slot

But despite all the interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, Kazim-Richards has urged Arsenal to sign Joao Pedro from Brighton, claiming that he would do really well at the Emirates – He told betideas.com: “Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with Pedro. I think he’s an outstanding prospect.

“I’ve watched him a few times live, once this season at Arsenal. He stood out for me.

“He’s the type of player that I think would fit into Arsenal really well and I think he would give them something different to what they already have.

    ‘He’s good. He’s top shelf.”

    IcFootballnews View…

Joao Pedro has been impressive for Brighton over the past few seasons and is good enough to join one of the big clubs, but to pay £100 million for the man is mad and we are sure that will not happen.

Brighton could be pricing Pedro out of the chance to join the likes of ARSENAL,, Liverpool or Chelsea with that asking price, but they dont want to lose the player and he may have to put in a transfer request if those clubs do come calling.

  • What Makes the Premier League the Biggest Football League on the Planet?

What Makes the Premier League the Biggest Football League on the Planet?

    [ad_1]

When it comes to football, few leagues can match the allure, scale, and impact of the English Premier League (EPL). Since its rebranding in 1992, the Premier League has not only revolutionised English football but has also become the most-watched and commercially successful football league in the world.

    Star Power on Display

One of the Premier League’s greatest strengths lies in its sheer depth of talent. From Thierry Henry to Cristiano Ronaldo, and now Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah, the league has consistently attracted global superstars. The presence of elite players across all 20 clubs ensures that each fixture is a potential headline-grabber. Even mid-table clashes can produce moments of brilliance that dominate sports media across continents.

Moreover, the league’s competitive nature means that no single team dominates season after season. Leicester City’s fairytale title win in 2015–16 remains one of the most compelling underdog stories in modern sport—an outcome almost unthinkable in most other top-tier leagues.

    Broadcasting Might and Global Reach

The Premier League’s commercial success is underpinned by its unparalleled broadcast deals. From NBC Sports in the United States to Star Sports in Asia and SuperSport in Africa, the EPL reaches over 200 territories with an estimated cumulative audience of over 3 billion people each season. The latest cycle of domestic TV rights alone is worth over £5 billion, with international rights catching up quickly.

This global saturation has not just filled the league’s coffers—it has created an ecosystem where fans from Lagos to Los Angeles can follow their favourite clubs, often with greater fervour than local teams.

    Financial Firepower

Money talks in football, and the Premier League speaks louder than anyone. Thanks to its lucrative broadcast deals, the EPL boasts financial muscle unmatched by its European rivals. This has allowed even bottom-half clubs to outbid some of Europe’s elite for top talent.

Take Nottingham Forest, who spent over £150 million after promotion in 2022. That kind of spending power from a newly-promoted side is simply inconceivable in Italy’s Serie A or France’s Ligue 1. Financial might doesn’t just buy players—it funds world-class infrastructure, youth academies, and global marketing strategies that perpetuate the Premier League’s dominance.

    Iconic Clubs, Global Brands

The Premier League is home to some of the biggest clubs in football history. Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are not just successful on the pitch—they are globally recognised brands.

Their fanbases stretch across continents. You’ll find Arsenal jerseys in Nairobi, Manchester United chants in Bangkok, and Liverpool fan clubs in New York City. These clubs transcend sport and have become cultural icons, strengthening the league’s grip on the global football audience.

    Managerial Elite

It’s not just players who shine in the Premier League. The managerial talent in the league is second to none. From tactical masterminds like Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta to charismatic leaders like Jurgen Klopp and Ange Postecoglou, the Premier League hosts a tactical battleground every week.

These managers bring global narratives, fierce rivalries, and elite footballing philosophies that shape the modern game. Their presence only adds to the league’s allure and competitive drama.

    A League Like No Other

The English Premier League isn’t just a football competition—it’s a global phenomenon. With its unmatched competitiveness, commercial acumen, and cultural impact, the EPL has established itself as football’s true global giant. Whether it’s a relegation six-pointer on a rainy Tuesday in Burnley or a title-decider at the Etihad, every moment feels monumental.

It’s more than a league—it’s the theatre of dreams, and the world is always watching.
