    Pellegrini’s uncertain future in Rome

    Pellegrini is now entering the final 12 months of his contract, and Roma appear ready to move him on. The Italian has managed just 208 minutes of football this season, highlighting his fall from favour under Gian Piero Gasperini. With his career at a crossroads, a switch to the Premier League could provide the fresh start he needs.

    West Ham tried to secure his signature last summer but failed to get a deal over the line. This time, however, an offer in the region of €8 million could be enough to tempt Roma into selling.

    Why West Ham need him

    Midfield reinforcements are becoming a priority for the East London side. New signing Guido Rodríguez has struggled to make an impact since arriving on a free, while James Ward-Prowse is expected to move on, having fallen out of Nuno’s long-term plans. Pellegrini’s versatility, leadership qualities, and experience at the highest level make him an attractive option for the Hammers.

    The January window could finally see West Ham land their long-term target.     West Ham United are preparing to rival Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White in January.

    The Hammers picked up their first Premier League win of the season last weekend with a convincing 3-0 victory over Forest, thanks to goals from Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paquetá and Callum Wilson. Despite that result, Graham Potter’s side have shown vulnerabilities in midfield, struggling for control in earlier defeats to Chelsea and Sunderland. Strengthening the engine room is now a priority, and Gibbs-White has emerged as a serious target, according to Caught Offside.

    Tottenham’s Previous Pursuit

    Spurs were close to landing the 25-year-old this summer after meeting his £60 million release clause. However, Forest stood firm and quickly tied him down to a new deal without a buyout clause, underlining his importance. Gibbs-White was a standout performer last season, recording seven goals and 10 assists in the league.

    West Ham’s Potential Advantage

    While Transfermarkt currently values the midfielder at £43 million, Forest are expected to demand a far higher fee to fend off interest. Even so, West Ham may hold an edge over Tottenham. The North London club moved on by signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, and Thomas Frank is not thought to be in the market for another midfielder.

    That leaves West Ham in a stronger position should they decide to push forward. The challenge will be financial, with Forest likely to demand a premium for their creative talisman.

    Whether West Ham can afford Gibbs-White remains uncertain, but their interest signals ambition under Potter. Landing the England international would not only address a key weakness but also represent a major statement of intent in their battle for European qualification.

    In-demand striker Benjamin Sesko has opened up and send a message to the likes of CHELSEA and Arsenal, as all the rumours begin that a move will be made for the £70 million striker now that the transfer window is open.

    Despite Chelsea and Arsenal claiming Champions League football this season, there has been alot of speculation that both clubs need to delve into that transfer kitty and add a striker that has the ability to score 20, 30 or even 40 goals a season.

    Sesko has been on the agenda of the Premier League giants for the last few seasons, but made the decision last year that he wanted to stay put for one more season to help his development, with many believing that a move will happen this transfer window.

    Leipzig are now in Brazil, where they will play an end-of-season friendly against Santos, and Sesko has now addressed his future during an interview with German broadcaster Sport1 in South America.

    He said: ‘The club has given me a lot and continues to give me a lot every day. It’s a great club to develop at.’

    Sesko also added that in the future, he wants to ‘play for a club that suits me, that brings out the best in me. That’s the most important thing for me.’

    He continued: ‘I’m currently a player for RB Leipzig, so I’m taking it day by day. If a transfer happens, and if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t.’

    Sesko is a very young striker that has the ability to score some goals, in the Bundesliga. The Premier League will be a massive step up for the lad that he may struggle with making if he joins the wrong team.

    Chelsea have been linked with the lad, as they will continue to be linked until he moves, but we cannot see him signing for the Blues as CHELSEA have quite a few striking options already.

    Enzo Maresca must know what he needs and to be honest Sesko may not be that.

    Manchester United have a big clash against Chelsea in the Premier League, but as crucial as their trip to Stamford Bridge this Friday might be, most fans have their eyes firmly set on the UEFA Europa League final.

    United’s league form has been worrying — they have struggled to maintain their competitive edge for most of the season. They are winless in their last seven league games, with five defeats and two draws, and there is very little excitement among fans surrounding their clash with Chelsea.

    Interestingly, United’s struggles have not extended to their Europa League campaign. They have been relentless in Europe, going unbeaten in 14 matches this season, with nine wins and five draws.

    That impressive run has secured them a showdown with Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final on May 21 at the San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao.

    With United on the brink of European glory, one might expect the club to spare no expense for the occasion. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s budget cuts have affected the final preparations. Club staff will not receive complimentary tickets for the showdown in Bilbao next week.

    Ruben Amorim appreciates staff amid INEOS Europa League final cost cuts

    The co-owners have reportedly decided to ensure most of the club’s 15,000 allocation goes directly to fans.

    While winning a major trophy like the Europa League is a prestigious achievement, many find it disappointing that the club has not tried to reward its staff, those who work behind the scenes to help the team reach such moments.

    Paris Saint-Germain, for example, are sending 600 staff members to Munich for their Champions League final against Inter Milan on May 31.

    With no club-funded tickets available, United staff have been left to cover their own costs should they wish to attend. However, according to ESPN, manager Ruben Amorim has stepped in with a classy gesture — personally sponsoring his backroom staff for the trip to Bilbao.

    When he joined United, Amorim brought several of his trusted coaching staff from Sporting Lisbon, and he has now decided to fund the travel expenses for his support team, including lower-paid members, as a sign of appreciation for their commitment to his project.

    “Ruben Amorim has paid for 30 of his Manchester United backroom staff to take their families to next week’s Europa League final in Bilbao, Spain, after being told by the club that his coaches, physios and support team would have to pay for their own tickets, sources have told ESPN.”

    Upon learning about the club’s decision not to provide staff tickets, the Portuguese coach reportedly informed United officials that he would cover costs for his team, ensuring each member could bring up two friends or family members to witness the final.

    With Amorim’s gesture, one cannot help but think—not all heroes wear capes. Now, all that remains is for the team to rise to the occasion, dispatch Spurs, and bring European glory back to Old Trafford.

    If they do, perhaps INEOS will regret not backing their staff for such a monumental night.
