  • Man United plot Ollie Watkins move amid Sesko uncertainty

Man United plot Ollie Watkins move amid Sesko uncertainty

    [ad_1]

Manchester United remain firmly in the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko but are now considering Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as a potential alternative, according to The Sun.

United have already agreed personal terms with Sesko, yet face stiff competition from Newcastle United, who are believed to have tabled a higher bid. Reports suggest the 21-year-old Slovenian has also agreed terms with the Magpies, though he hasn’t made a final decision.

Amid financial constraints and the risk of missing out, United are preparing contingency plans. Ollie Watkins has emerged as a serious target, with the England international said to be “very keen” on a move to Old Trafford.

Watkins Could Be a Smart Signing

At 28, Watkins brings proven Premier League experience and a reliable goal-scoring record. While not as young or long-term a prospect as Sesko, he would offer United an immediate solution in the No.9 role.

His familiarity with the English top flight means he would likely require little adaptation time — a key advantage for a side looking to hit the ground running under incoming manager Ruben Amorim. Moreover, Watkins’ price tag, reportedly around £40 million, makes him a cost-effective option compared to Sesko and could come with lower wage demands.

    Still Hope for Sesko?

Despite Newcastle’s financial edge and Champions League status, United remain optimistic about landing Sesko. The striker has already shown willingness by agreeing personal terms, and the pull of Old Trafford — especially with a fresh project under Amorim — could yet tilt the decision in United’s favour.

Regardless of which direction United take, both options represent quality additions. Sesko offers long-term potential, while Watkins brings immediate Premier League pedigree.

  • Nick Woltemade makes his decision amid Manchester United’s interest – Man United News And Transfer News

Nick Woltemade makes his decision amid Manchester United’s interest – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Manchester United are reportedly going full steam ahead in pursuit of Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig.

But owing to the Bundesliga side’s demands, INEOS have been forced to keep alternatives ready. Randal Kolo Muani is one name doing the rounds as is that of Nick Woltemade of VfB Stuttgart.

The German enjoyed a breakthrough 24/25 season, scoring 17 goals while also registering three assists in what was his debut campaign for Stuttgart.

And naturally, that kind of form has attracted the attentions of the Red Devils, along with Newcastle while Bayern Munich remain long-term admirers.

Nick Woltemade doesn’t want the Premier League

Journalist Christian Falk has now claimed that the 23-year-old is not keen on a move to the Premier League at this stage of his career.

Instead, he wants Bayern but his parent club have proven to be a tough nut to crack. As per the report, Sebastian Hoeneß’ side have rejected a €45 million and €55 million offer from the Bavarians

The Bundesliga champions are remaining patient, as they are aware not too many other teams will submit as lucrative an offer as theirs.

With a move to United or the Magpies ruled out, Stuttgart are under pressure to accept.

“Manchester United and Newcastle had Nick Woltemade on their shortlists. However, the VfB Stuttgart striker is still focused on Bayern Munich. He doesn’t want to leave the Bundesliga at this stage.

    All eyes on Bayern

“On Wednesday, there was a meeting between the Bayern bosses where they discussed how they’ll move in the window for Woltemade. There have already been two offers rejected – one of €40m [£34.5m] plus €5m and the second of €50m [£43.2m] plus €5m.

“Now they’ve decided to play on time, as they don’t want to raise their offer again. They hope Stuttgart will come back to the table, as it’s a lot of money for the club as it stands, and they can’t guarantee that another club will be prepared to pay this fee next year. So, it’s a tactic by Bayern to put pressure on Stuttgart.”

This update will not hurt United as much as it affects Newcastle. INEOS seem to be focussed on Sesko, and Woltemade was only backup.

As for Eddie Howe’s side, they have failed to land multiple priority targets, and following Sesko’s snub, even his fellow Bundesliga striker Nick Woltemade seems to arriving at a similar conclusion.

  • Everton Eye Jack Harrison Reunion Amid Leeds Exit Rumours

Everton Eye Jack Harrison Reunion Amid Leeds Exit Rumours

    [ad_1]

Everton are reportedly considering a summer swoop to re-sign Jack Harrison from Leeds United, as the 28-year-old winger prepares for a likely departure from Elland Road.

    Harrison’s Leeds Future Looks Over

According to Football Insider, Harrison has become a top target for the Toffees, who are looking to strengthen their wide options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The Englishman is said to have “burnt his bridges” at Leeds United following back-to-back loan spells at Goodison Park, and a permanent move now looks increasingly likely.

Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League in 2022/23 triggered a turbulent period for Harrison, once a key figure in their attack. Since then, he’s spent two seasons on loan at Everton, with mixed results.

Inconsistent Form, But Still Trusted at Everton

While Harrison impressed during his first loan stint, his most recent campaign left fans underwhelmed. He registered just one goal and one assist across 38 appearances in all competitions during the 2024/25 season.

Despite that dip in form, Everton still value the winger’s work ethic and familiarity with Sean Dyche’s system. With Jesper Lindstrom and Harrison both returning to their parent clubs, the Toffees are in urgent need of reinforcements out wide.

Bakayoko Deal Slipping – Harrison Back in the Frame?

Everton had shown interest in PSV’s Johan Bakayoko, but the Belgian is now closing in on a move to RB Leipzig. That development has put Harrison firmly back on the radar at Goodison Park, especially as a more affordable and Premier League-proven alternative.

While no deal is confirmed yet, all signs point to a potential third chapter for Jack Harrison at Everton. With Leeds seemingly ready to offload him and the player himself eager for a fresh start, a permanent move to Merseyside could be just around the corner.

  • Liverpool Step Up Pursuit of Hugo Ekitike Amid Chelsea and Man Utd Interest

Liverpool Step Up Pursuit of Hugo Ekitike Amid Chelsea and Man Utd Interest

    [ad_1]

Liverpool have ramped up their efforts to sign French striker Hugo Ekitike, hoping to beat Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United to the punch.

Reds Ready to Splash for Ekitike

According to Fichajes, the Merseyside giants are serious about bolstering their frontline this summer, with 23-year-old Ekitike emerging as a prime target. After a frustrating spell at PSG, the young forward has reignited his career at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he’s become one of the Bundesliga’s standout performers.

Ekitike enjoyed a sensational 2024 season, racking up 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions. His electric form has attracted plenty of attention, with Chelsea, United, and Liverpool all keen to secure his services.

    Premier League Rivals Circle

Chelsea have already made attacking reinforcements this summer with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, but Enzo Maresca reportedly sees Ekitike as a perfect fit for his high-tempo system.

Over at Old Trafford, new boss Ruben Amorim is determined to land a clinical No.9, with doubts lingering over United’s current striker options. Ekitike’s pace, finishing, and movement make him a tempting solution.

Liverpool Confident of Winning the Race

With Diogo Jota injured and Darwin Núñez’s future uncertain, Liverpool are eager to strengthen their attack for new manager Arne Slot. The club believes Ekitike fits perfectly into their project and are prepared to make a decisive early move.

The Reds are optimistic they can convince Ekitike with the promise of Champions League football and a leading role in a title-challenging side.

Frankfurt Set €100 Million Price Tag

However, there’s one big hurdle: Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly value Ekitike at €100 million. With four years left on his contract and multiple clubs circling, the German side are under no pressure to sell on the cheap.

Whether Liverpool are willing to meet that price remains to be seen—but one thing is clear: Hugo Ekitike is shaping up to be one of this summer’s hottest transfer battles.

  • West Ham Eye £25m Swoop for Aaron Ramsdale Amid Goalkeeper Shake-Up

West Ham Eye £25m Swoop for Aaron Ramsdale Amid Goalkeeper Shake-Up

    [ad_1]

West Ham United are weighing up a £25 million summer swoop for England international Aaron Ramsdale — and the move could be a game-changer at the London Stadium.

According to Football Insider, new Hammers boss Graham Potter is keen to bolster his goalkeeping options, with current No.1 Alphonse Areola struggling for consistency. Ramsdale, who finds himself relegated with Southampton, could be available for a cut-price fee due to a release clause triggered by the Saints’ drop to the Championship.

Ramsdale Seeking a Premier League Lifeline

At 26, Ramsdale is far too talented to be plying his trade in the second tier. With West Ham ready to pounce, the Englishman might see this as a perfect route back to top-flight football. He’s already proven his worth at Premier League level, and a switch to the Hammers could reignite his career just in time for his peak years.

    Stiff Competition for Signature

West Ham aren’t alone in the race. Both Newcastle United and Manchester United are monitoring Ramsdale’s situation closely. With Nick Pope’s long-term successor still unclear and Onana’s form under scrutiny, a summer tug-of-war could be on the cards.

Still, at £25 million, Ramsdale could be a long-term bargain. For West Ham, a reliable, experienced shot-stopper could be exactly what they need to launch a serious push for Europe next season.
