Chelsea plot €90 million swoop for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a blockbuster €90 million move to sign Bournemouth’s in-form attacker Antoine Semenyo, as the Blues look to bolster their frontline ahead of the next transfer window.

    Chelsea Eye Premier League Sensation

According to reports from Fichajes, Chelsea have identified the 25-year-old Ghanaian forward as a prime target following his explosive start to the season. Semenyo has been a revelation for Bournemouth, notching nine goal contributions already and catching the eye of several top Premier League sides.

The West London giants are keen to add more pace, power, and versatility to their attack — and Semenyo fits that profile perfectly. Capable of operating across the front three, his energy and directness have made him one of the standout performers outside the traditional top six.

A Perfect Time for the Next Step

Semenyo is entering the peak years of his career, and a move to Stamford Bridge could provide the platform to take his game to the next level. With Chelsea aiming to return to the top of English football, a player of his calibre could play a crucial role in their rebuild.

The Blues have shown their intent by splashing big in recent windows, and with the financial muscle to meet Bournemouth’s hefty valuation, they could very well get their man. However, convincing the Cherries to part ways with their star forward will not be easy — he’s become integral to their attacking setup.

Why Semenyo Makes Sense for Chelsea

Under the right guidance, Semenyo’s raw talent could flourish at a club with Chelsea’s ambitions. His mix of powerful running, creativity, and finishing ability makes him an ideal addition for a side looking to reignite their attacking spark.

Having recently lifted the UEFA Europa Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup, Chelsea are once again positioning themselves as an attractive destination for elite talent.

Whether the move materialises remains to be seen, but one thing is certain — Antoine Semenyo is ready for the big stage, and Chelsea could be the perfect stage for his next act.

Manchester United will be hoping to add goals and creativity to their lineup in the summer, with INEOS having their eyes on multiple Premier League talents.

Matheus Cunha seems the closest to arriving, with the Brazilian eager to join despite the Red Devils’ current form and the potential lack of European football should things not fall into place in Bilbao.

The 20-time English league champions have also been linked with a move for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and Bournemouth ace Antoine Semenyo.

And as relayed by The Peoples Person, the Ghanaian seems to be the preferred choice but with the 25-year-old having another four years left on his current deal, the Cherries will not be letting him leave on the cheap.

    Semenyo price revealed

Football Insider have claimed that Andoni Iraola’s side will be demanding at least £50-60 million to part ways with the former Bristol City ace, who signed a contract extension in 2024.

Rivals Newcastle and Arsenal are also admirers of the Ghana international and Bournemouth are hoping for a auction between all three of his suitors to try and earn even more if possible.

“Bournemouth are ready to hold out for bids of £50-60million for Man United target Antoine Semenyo, sources have told Football Insider.

“The Cherries star, 25, is towards the top of the target list at Old Trafford – while Newcastle and Arsenal are also monitoring his situation.

“It is believed Bournemouth are hoping for an auction to boost Semenyo’s price tag this summer.”

    Plenty of interest

It is easy to see why United are after Semenyo as he can play up front, out wide and even as a wingback, something Ruben Amorim will greatly appreciate.

He scored in both of Bournemouth’s league meetings against the three-time Champions League winners and the Portuguese tactician already knows first-hand how dangerous the London-born ace can be.

But with a striker, midfielder and even wingback position set to be reinforced, it will be interesting to see if INEOS can fund the arrivals of both Cunha and Semenyo in the same window.

There have been murmurs of a move to the Saudi Pro League for the African star and United will need to cough up Bournemouth’s demands to get their man as a discount is unlikely.
