  • Jarrod Branthwaite agrees new Everton deal

    [ad_1]

Long-term CHELSEA transfer target Jarrad Branthwaite says he is “over the moon” to have signed a new five-year deal at Everton and end all the speculation regarding his future at the Merseysiders.

Branthwaite has become one of the most in-demand young centre-backs in the Premier League and is a player that Chelsea have been eyeing up for the last couple of transfer windows, with many believing that the Blues could make a move this summer.

However – Branthwaite says he is “over the moon” to have signed a new five-year deal at Everton and put an end to all the speculation – The 23-year-old evertontv: “I’m over the moon. It’s been something we’ve been talking about since the end of the season, and to get it signed now is something I’m really excited about.

“The trust the club’s put in me and how many games I’ve played over the past two seasons has made it quite an easy decision for me to stay and to keep progressing as a player.

“I know the club. I feel loved by the players – we’ve got a good group here – and the fans. Over the past few years, I’ve seen the impact the fans have on us as a team and how much it means to them. And, obviously, with the new stadium we’ve got here, the new ownership and the new manager, it’s an exciting project and it’s something I want to be part of.

“Moving to the new stadium together and having that first game at home is something we’re all looking forward to. We want to go again and push for a good season.”

He added: “The ambition was a huge thing. The way the manager wants us to go as a team and what he wants us to do for next season and where he wants us to challenge for has had a big impact on the decision. I think you saw towards the end of last season as a team what we can do.

“The manager has been really good, not only for me but for the group. You saw the change in results, the change in mood since he came in. He drives the demands every day to be better.”

  • Chelsea transfer news – Branthwaite – Rodrygo

    [ad_1]

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed featuring the likes of Rodrygo, Jarrod Branthwaite and Victor Osimhen…

Fresh reports in the media this week which is claimed CHELSEA are very interested in Everton defender Jared Branthwaite, as they seek to improve that defence over the course of the transfer window.

Now Chelsea finished the season very well they got champions League football, and they won a European trophy, which doesn’t come around very often. So Enzo Maresca is looking the splash some money improve the squad.

He has already acquired the services of Liam Delap, but  fans are just waiting for the final confirmation to go through. But it seems that they are now looking at adding the talented Branthwaite to the side.

The young defender has the potential to become world-class in the coming seasons if he makes the right moves in the next couple of seasons, and reports on the sun have claimed that Chelsea are ready to open talks with Everton over a potential deal.

The reports claimed that Chelsea are ready to pay £70 million in order to get a deal done for defender and the young star is reportedly very interested in making a move to Stamford bridge.

Enzo Maresca wants to carry on improving the squad and certain areas and he knows that he needs to improve that backline, which caused them serious issues last season, and is an area of the side that he needs to improve in order to close the gap on Liverpool, Man city and Arsenal, who will be the favorites for the title again next season.

    icfootballnews says…

Branthwaite is a very very good young defender and has all the potential to develop into a top class defender. £70 million is a lot of money for the lad, but he could be worth it in the long-run.

He is just the type of player that CHELSEA like to sign, young and hungry, that they can give a massive contract too. He is ready for that next step up and if he is able to hold down a regular spot in that Blues back-line, he will certainly improve their defence.

It will be an interesting watch to see if the Blues do get a deal done for the lad that is for sure.

    CHELSEA WANTS OSIMHEN

There has been some reports in the media which have claimed that CHELSEA want to sign a Victor OsImhen from Napoli, despite agreeing to bring Liam Delap in from Ipswich in a deal worth £30 million.

Now Chelsea will linked with Osman a couple of years ago but it’s high wages and massive transfer fee that naturally wanted meant that he actually went to Galatasaray, where he has performed very impressively for the Turkish giants.

Chelsea have already signed Liam delap from Ipswich for £30 million but that has not stoPped reports that Enzo Maresca would like a new striker to come in and replace Nicholas Jackson, who have been decent struggled for game time for goals sorry on a weekly basis and his performances been very inconsistent for a club like Chelsea, who want to win the champions League and premier League etc.

Osimhen will know that it is very early in the transfer window, but Napoli will be ready to cash in for about 60 million and the sun says Chelsea are very interested in getting a deal done if they feel like they need him.

    icfootballnews says…

Osimhen is a world class striker there was no data about that. He is man at scores goals but at the day, he is getting on an age and he’s all about the money.

And with Nicholas Jackson and Liam Delap and a bunch of other young talent at CHELSEA, they don’t really need to go and get a new striker signed up after the arrival of the Delap, who will probably struggle himself to get the game time that he needs because Maresca likes to play a certain way and Liam Delap does not fit that style of play.

Osimhen will probably end up going to Saudi Arabia,  they obviously want him he’ll be interested in the high wages that they will probably offer him and to be fair you know what a crazy money he could get over there.

He’s done enough Europe to be happy so a move to Saudi Arabia is probably going to happen simply because Chelsea will not want to pay you massive wages for the age that he is right now.

CHELSEA FREE TO MAKE RODRYGO MOVE?

It has been claimed in the media once again that Real Madrid will be open to letting long-term CHELSEA and Arsenal transfer target Rodrygo leave this summer, if they receive the right offer.

Rodrygo has scored 13 goals and provided 10 assists in 50 appearances this season, but Tension has been building between the Brazilian and Real with the winger unhappy with his role in the team with his relationship with his teammates deteriorating significantly.

The former Santos starlet, who joined Real for €45million in 2018, is ‘angry’ with his diminished role and it has been claimed that he would be open to leaving the Spaniards over the next few months, with reports suggesting that he believes he has played his last game for Real.

Now, according to AS Madrid could be willing to part ways with the Brazilian forward if a substantial offer arrives. The ultimate decision, however, will rest with both Rodrygo and new head coach Xabi Alonso, who is reportedly scheduled to speak directly with the player soon.

However, It was claimed Real will be demanding a fee of €100million (£85m) for the player, and he will also look for wages around the £300k-a-week mark.

    icfootballnews says…

Rodrygo has been world class for a few seasons, he is playing at Real and scoring the goals that big time players should be scoring, but his time at the club is probably coming to the end as the Spaniards look to keep on improving the side.

However – Arsenal and CHELSEA do not really need to splash the cash and add another winger to that attack, they already have a number of players that can do the job that Rodrygo does and we are sure that a move to the London clubs will not happen.

If he does leave Madrid, it could be for a move to Saudi Arabia or PSG, that would suit his style of football.

Everton slap £70 million price tag on Jarrad Branthwaite to end Manchester United’s chances of signing him – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Manchester United currently have three centre-backs out injured, while two are set to leave in the summer, and Ruben Amorim could do with help in the defensive department once the transfer window opens.

Lisandro Martinez is out till next year with an ACL injury. Even upon his return, the World Cup winner could be set for a position change.

Matthijs de Ligt suffered an injury against Brentford and will miss at least the next two games. Ayden Heaven is also sidelined.

Add Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof‘s impending departures, and all Amorim has are Leny Yoro, an ageing Harry Maguire and an unfit Luke Shaw. Young Tyler Fredricson has impressed but he needs to bulk up.

    Defence needs help

Jarrad Branthwaite has been a long-term target for INEOS, who failed with two bids for the Englishman last summer.

Talks of a move have refused to die down amid the 22-year-old’s imperious form for the Toffees this season.

Amid another potential summer approach, Teamtalk have suggested that David Moyes’ return has changed the Merseyside outfit’s outlook with the owners set to back the former United boss in the market.

And Everton will not allow the England international to leave for anything less than £70 million and they will not change their valuation come what may.

    Everton not budging

“Everton are point-blank refusing to part with Jarrad Branthwaite for anything less than their valuation this summer no matter which side wants to sign him, sources have revealed to TEAMtalk, leaving Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s big transfer dream facing capitulation.

“Sources have confirmed the Toffees have slapped a £70 million (€82.6m, $93.7m) minimum price tag on the defender – and they’re not budging.”

Lots of clubs were interested in Branthwaite with the centre-back helping the Toffees keep nine clean sheets. But it seems he could be staying put for now.

United have other positions in greater need of reinforcements and it is unlikely INEOS will sanction such an extensive outlay on a centre-back this summer.
