Real Madrid are reportedly closing in on the signing of Ajax’s 16-year-old midfield prodigy Abdellah Ouazane, as per Spanish journalist Rodra. The Amsterdam-born talent has caught the eye of Europe’s elite, with Los Blancos now leading the race for his signature.

Who is Abdellah Ouazane?

Ouazane is the latest gem to emerge from Ajax’s famed youth academy, following in the footsteps of Jorrel Hato and other Dutch sensations. Born in Amsterdam but representing Morocco at youth level, he currently plays for their U17 national side.

The midfielder began his journey with Zeeburgia before joining Ajax in 2016. Since then, he’s progressed rapidly, featuring 15 times for the U17s and four times for the U19s—netting three goals at each level.
