West Ham United and Everton are circling Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma, with both clubs exploring a potential summer move, according to transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri.
Bissouma was left out of Thomas Frank’s squad for Spurs’ UEFA Super Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain after repeated lateness – the latest in a string of disciplinary issues. It’s not the first time he has faced such punishment, as former boss Ange Postecoglou also dropped him last season after a controversial off-field incident.
Despite his problems, few question Bissouma’s quality on the pitch. The Mali international remains one of the Premier League’s most combative midfielders, excelling at breaking up play and dominating central areas.
The Hammers’ pursuit makes sense given their urgent need for reinforcements in midfield. Carlos Soler has returned to PSG without leaving a lasting mark at the London Stadium, leaving David Moyes in search of a reliable replacement. Bissouma, with his proven Premier League experience, fits the bill perfectly.
Over at Goodison Park, Everton boast depth in midfield with James Garner, Idrissa Gueye, Carlos Alcaraz, Tim Iroegbunam and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Garner in particular has caught the eye in pre-season, thriving in a deeper role. However, what the Toffees arguably lack is Bissouma’s tenacity – the kind of aggressive ball-winner who shields the defence and disrupts opposition rhythm.
While a move away looks increasingly likely, staying at Spurs isn’t completely off the table. A key factor in Bissouma’s decision is his desire to remain in England for at least another season, supporting his bid to secure a British passport.
With West Ham and Everton now jostling for his signature, Tottenham could be tempted to cash in if a bid close to his £21 million Transfermarkt valuation arrives.
This summer transfer battle is heating up – and Bissouma might just be the answer to West Ham’s midfield gap or Everton’s missing bite.

Manchester United had numerous loanees in action this Saturday afternoon through the football league.

The Czech keeper kept a clean sheet, his first in a Bristol City shirt in their 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic.
He made two saves and completed two successful run outs, clearing the ball from danger.
Vitek also took three high claims, protecting his box with authority. The only worry would have been his distribution, as he only completed 44% of his passes.
United’s other loanee keeper, Elyh Harrison, fared considerably worse than Vitek.
He conceded two goals as Shrewsbury Town lost to Colchester United 0-2. The young keeper made one save and one run out clearance.
Harrison was asked to pump the ball long on numerous occasions and found a teammate with 10 out of his 20 long balls.
The young striker played 90 minutes in Northampton Town’s 0-2 defeat to Stevenage.
He was inches from opening his account as he hit the woodwork and missed one big chance for his new team.
Wheatley did complete one key pass but he only made four out of his 13 pass attempts as he failed to make any sort of connection with his new teammates.
The England under 19 international was poor in his duels, winning just three out of 11 ground attempts and one out of seven aerial battles.
The 20-year-old midfielder was called out by his boss midweek for missing a penalty in Carabao cup shootout and he struggled to make much impact in Rotherham United’s 0-3 defeat to Cardiff City.
He played the entire 90 minutes and made 75% of his passes. He also completed his only dribble attempt and won six ground duels during the match.
Gore lost both his aerial battles and was dribbled past four times during the match.
The centre back started for Notts County in their 1-2 defeat to Barrow but was subbed off after 56 minutes of action.
Aljofree completed 74% of his passes and completed one key one. Nonetheless, his radar was off with long balls as he misplaced eight of his nine attempts.
He won three out of his five aerial battles and one out of four ground duels during his time on the pitch.
Collyer only completed his move to West Bromwich Albion yesterday but came on for the last three minutes of his side’s 3-2 victory over Wrexham.
He helped his side hold on to the win and made all four of his passes, winning his only ground duel in the process. The 21-year-old will hope to get his first start next time out against Portsmouth.
The United academy starlet played 68 minutes in Newport’s 2-1 defeat to Grimsby Town, United’s opponent in the Carabao cup later this month.
He made three clearances and three interceptions for his side. Ogunneye also completed two tackles and won an impressive five out of his six ground duels.
The 19-year-old also impressed in the air, winning two out of his three aerial battles for a strong afternoon’s work.
The Ireland youth international was subbed on for the final 11 minutes of Leyton Orient’s 2-2 draw with Stockport.
He made eight out of his nine pass attempts and completed his only dribble attempt.

Everton have made their move in the summer transfer window, tabling a £37 million bid for AS Roma striker Artem Dovbyk as they look to fend off competition from Leeds United and West Ham United.
According to Football Insider, the 28-year-old Ukrainian international has attracted serious interest from multiple Premier League clubs, but it’s Everton who have struck first with a concrete offer.
Just a year ago, Dovbyk was one of Europe’s most underrated forwards, spearheading Girona’s shock qualification for the UEFA Champions League. But instead of playing in Europe’s elite competition, he made the switch to AS Roma last summer—a move that hasn’t fully gone to plan.
While the striker has still posted respectable numbers—17 goals and four assists in 45 appearances—his debut campaign in Serie A was marred by inconsistency. Now, with Roma eyeing Nikola Krstovic as a replacement and Everton offering the exact £37m asking price, Dovbyk’s time in Italy could be coming to an end.
The Toffees’ need for a new No. 9 is urgent. With Dominic Calvert-Lewin leaving on a free transfer and only Beto remaining as a recognised striker, manager David Moyes is desperate for firepower. Dovbyk, with his proven scoring record and physical presence, fits the bill perfectly.
Leeds United have also been linked with the Roma man, though their recent capture of Calvert-Lewin on a free, along with Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe already on the books, makes another striker signing less likely.
West Ham, on the other hand, are crying out for a reliable goal scorer after a disastrous 2024/25 campaign for Niclas Füllkrug and loanee Evan Ferguson—who has ironically just joined Roma, further complicating Dovbyk’s future.

Manchester United have raised quite a few eyebrows this summer by their transfer business.
United finished 15th in the Premier League last season, failing to qualify for European football. Considering their financial predicament, the Red Devils were expected to have a quiet transfer window, as far as incomings were concerned.
However, Ineos have completely transformed Ruben Amorim’s attack, having spent north of £200 million on signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko. The trio have arrived without any major sale at Old Trafford.
Further, the club’s hierarchy don’t plan to slow down anytime soon, having set their sights on Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba.
According to Givemesport, United have “shocked” rivals Manchester City by making a move for Baleba.
It is understood that Pep Guardiola’s men planned to make a bid for Baleba next summer. As such, United’s “serious interest” has “come as a surprise” to City.
Brighton are also seemingly not ready for the 21-year-old’s transfer this summer. As per multiple reports, the Seagulls want to keep the ex-Lille sensation at the Amex for at least one more season.
However, United view him as their dream midfield target, and continue to work behind the scenes.
The Mancunians are trying to make a move before any bidding wars begin. Liverpool have interest in the dynamic midfielder as well.
Meanwhile, City are pushing ahead with their pursuit of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
United are also believed to be interested in the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, who is destined to exit the French capital.
However, the Sky Blues appear to be in the pole position, having reportedly agreed personal terms with the Italian.

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signing of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with a £55 million deal said to be on the table, according to Football Transfers.
The Gunners have already made six additions in this summer’s transfer window, but Mikel Arteta is still looking to bolster his attacking options before the September 1 deadline. A versatile playmaker has been high on the club’s wish list, and Eze has emerged as the top target.
Arsenal are prepared to pay £30 million up front, with the remaining £25 million to be settled in instalments. While the exact payment structure is yet to be finalised, sources suggest it won’t be an obstacle to completing the move. The final hurdle is Crystal Palace securing a suitable replacement before giving the green light for Eze’s departure.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering a blockbuster bid for Chelsea star Enzo Fernández, with a €150 million offer being prepared to test the Blues’ resolve, according to Fichajes.
Luis Enrique is said to view Fernández as the ideal replacement should Spanish midfielder Fabián Ruiz leave the Parc des Princes this summer. Ruiz has been linked with Manchester United, though there are no firm indications he will depart. Still, PSG are planning ahead and could make one of the window’s biggest moves if the situation changes.

The Georgia international joined the squad this summer after agreeing a move to Anfield from Valencia 12 months ago, and he will look to challenge Allison for that number one spot at Anfield over the next 12 months.
Alisson is one of the best goalkeepers in world football, he is a man that can walk into pretty much any side around the world, But Mamardashvili does not care and will look to become the clubs new number one, according to James.
“You have to understand Liverpool haven’t looked at Mamardashvili and thought ‘We need to fill a gap here’,” James told the PA news agency at an event for Carlsberg.
“Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world and it’s not often you get asked twice. Mamardashvili has come in as a direct challenger.
“He will have to believe he is good enough to play for Liverpool, one of the toughest goalkeeping positions in world football.
“But he has played at major tournaments and international finals and excelled so I don’t think the occasion is going to faze him.
“It will just be interesting if he doesn’t start the season how motivated he will be to wait for his opportunities, because he will get opportunities.”
