West Ham United join race to sign Real Madrid starlet Endrick on loan

    [ad_1]

West Ham United are reportedly eyeing an ambitious move for Brazilian wonderkid Endrick, as the 19-year-old struggles for regular minutes at Real Madrid.

According to a report from Fichajes, the Hammers are ready to offer Endrick a loan escape route this January, hoping to bring one of football’s most exciting young forwards to the Premier League.

Endrick Needs Game Time to Shine

Despite his immense potential, Endrick has found first-team opportunities limited at the Santiago Bernabéu. Competing with global stars like Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo has left him sidelined more often than not. For a player of his talent, consistent game time is crucial — and West Ham could provide exactly that.

A loan stint in England’s top flight would expose the young Brazilian to a high-intensity environment, helping him develop both physically and mentally. The Premier League experience could prove invaluable, allowing him to return to Madrid next season as a more complete player.

    Why West Ham Need Endrick

West Ham have endured a stuttering start to the campaign and are desperate for attacking reinforcements. Endrick’s versatility — capable of playing across the front line — makes him a perfect fit for David Moyes’ side. His flair, pace, and finishing could inject much-needed creativity and energy into the Hammers’ attack.

With Valencia and Real Sociedad also keen, West Ham must move swiftly to secure his signature. Landing Endrick would not only bolster their squad but also signal their intent to climb the Premier League table after battling inconsistency in recent seasons.

For Real Madrid, a loan move could be a win-win — allowing their young star to gain valuable experience without losing him permanently. For West Ham, it could be a transformative signing that reignites their European ambitions.

  • Toby Collyer joins West Bromwich Albion on loan – Man United News And Transfer News

Toby Collyer joins West Bromwich Albion on loan – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Manchester United are on the lookout for midfield reinforcements, with Carlos Baleba of Brighton and Hove Albion identified as the perfect option.

Ruben Amorim lacks quality in the middle of the park, with Manuel Ugarte struggling while Casemiro does not have the legs to operate week in, week out.

It is unlikely that INEOS can pull off the deal for the Cameroonian given the costs involved, and ideally, Amorim needs all hands on deck.

But rather surprisingly, they have still decided to loan out Toby Collyer with the club officially announcing the 21-year-old has joined West Bromwich Albion for the upcoming season.

    Collyer to West Brom

There was plenty of interest from other Championships clubs, like Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday, but it was West Brom boss Ryan Mason who tipped the scales in the Baggies’ favour.

“I spoke with the gaffer Ryan Mason and I got a really good first impression from him,” Collyer told the official West Brom website.

“Albion seems like the right place and the right environment for me and I’m hoping to play as much as possible.

“This is a great opportunity for me to help the team and take my game to the next level, which I’m really excited about.”

    What will Amorim do now

The England U20 international enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last term, eventually making 13 first-team appearances in all competitions.

Former manager Erik ten Hag was a huge fan, but Amorim seems to have deemed the ex-Brighton academy ace not good enough and hence the loan.

This might indicate the 20-time English league champions are guaranteed to bring in a new midfielder before the summer window slams shut.

If not Baleba, the Old Trafford side have alternatives like Sporting CP’s Morten Hjulmand, and Mateus Fernandes of Southampton lined up.

  • Joshua Zirkzee could be headed back to the Serie A on loan – Man United News And Transfer News

Joshua Zirkzee could be headed back to the Serie A on loan – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Ruben Amorim was let down massively by Manchester United’s strikers — Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee last season.

The Dane managed a meagre four Premier League goals all campaign, while the Dutchman fared little better, scoring seven goals in all competitions.

But while the Denmark international’s overall play was beyond disappointing, the former Bayern Munich ace impressed with his link-up play and trickery with the ball at his feet.

So much so that Amorim wants him to stay, while he is willing to sanction Hojlund’s exit. But that has not stopped the rumour mill from linking Joshua Zirkzee with an exit from United after only one season.

Tutto Atalanta have claimed that Atalanta are looking at the Netherlands international as a replacement for Mateo Retegui.

    Atalanta want Joshua Zirkzee

With Ademola Lookman’s departure also on the cards, new coach Ivan Juric has identified the United No.11 as the perfect all-round replacement.

The Serie A side are willing to offer a loan deal with an option to buy. La Dea are confident of securing the versatile ace due to the good relations between the two clubs. Zirkzee’s compatriot Marten de Roon is pushing for the deal to be completed.

“Mateo Retegui has said goodbye, and now Atalanta’s most delicate task is finding a worthy heir. In recent days, as exclusively revealed by TuttoAtalanta.com, Joshua Zirkzee, the talented Dutchman of Manchester United, has been identified as one of the leading candidates to strengthen the Nerazzurri’s attack.

“The deal remains complex, but far from impossible. The Zirkzee deal hasn’t yet taken off, but the chemistry between Manchester United and Atalanta could play a decisive role. The relationship is excellent, as demonstrated by the Diallo and Højlund deals of recent years. A loan-with-an-option could be the key to unlocking the deal, satisfying both parties.

Loan with an option to be offered

“In the background, Lookman remains to be evaluated, and now, more than ever, he’s a key figure: the Nigerian is being courted with great conviction by Atletico Madrid , while Inter have also made more tentative offers. Should he leave, Zirkzee’s arrival would become not only interesting, but even necessary to fill the void left up front.

“Juric demands weight and quality, and Zirkzee can offer both. His international experience—enhanced by a Champions League win with Bayern Munich—could be an added bonus for the Atalanta’s European campaign.”

INEOS are unlikely to sanction a loan departure, moreover Amorim is a huge fan of Zirkzee and wants him to stay. So these reports from Italy are intended to stir the pot but it is unlikely to result in his departure.

With the 20-time English league champions yet to secure a striker’s signing, the 24-year-old could end up playing up front, but this time with support from two creative outlets like Matheus Cunha and hopefully, Bryan Mbeumo.

The Dutch ace would be the perfect foil for the two talented No.10s and it would represent a fluid front-three set-up.

  • Bayer Leverkusen loan could be key to unlocking the N’golo Kante in Man United’s Toby Collyer – Man United News And Transfer News

Bayer Leverkusen loan could be key to unlocking the N’golo Kante in Man United’s Toby Collyer – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Heading into the 2024-25 season, one Manchester United academy star tipped for a breakout campaign was Toby Collyer.

Back in 2023, just after United lifted the Carabao Cup, then-head coach Erik ten Hag was seen deep in conversation with Kobbie Mainoo.

Enter 2023–24: Mainoo, despite an early-season injury, went on to fight his way into becoming a dependable first-team regular.

His resurgence culminated in a Man of the Match display in United’s 2-1 FA Cup final win over Manchester City, earning him FA Cup Player of the Season honours.

And so, following that success, it felt like déjà vu when, after that FA Cup final, Ten Hag was again seen chatting with Toby Collyer.

Social media buzzed with speculation. Was Ten Hag ready to unearth another gem? Was Collyer about to enjoy his own “Mainoo season” in 2024-25?

Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for the young Red Devil.

Collyer’s 2024-25 did not go to plan: Ten Hag sacking and injuries

United’s early struggles in 2024–25 held back his progression. Ten Hag’s dismissal also didn’t help his case.

With the Dutch tactician gone, any progression plan laid out for the midfielder seemed to evaporate.

Although new head coach Ruben Amorim was expected to implement the midfielder’s progression plan, that did not happen immediately.

Amorim’s task was to steady a faltering United side, and understandably, taking a chance on an unproven player was not a top priority.

To complicate matters further, Collyer then endured two separate injuries (a leg injury followed by a knock) that sidelined him for most of the second half of the season.

He did manage 12 senior appearances, including a headline-grabbing debut against Liverpool and a goal-saving late cameo against Fulham, but there’s little doubt: 2024–25 was not his season.

    So what now for Collyer?

United are set for a squad rebuild this summer. New signings are expected, and several names could make way.

Collyer may not be one of those to be moved on as he remains highly regarded at Carrington — but is he truly in Amorim’s plans?

He could be if the former Sporting Lisbon boss is seeking his own N’Golo Kanté.

“He could do two jobs in one, and his ball retention was different class. You don’t get midfielders like him anymore,” former Liverpool Women’s manager Matt Beard told the MEN when asked about a team that might benefit from Collyer’s services.

“He was sort of like (N’Golo) Kanté for Leicester. You need balance in a team. If you had three Kobbie Mainoos, you can’t play them all. You need a combination, and Toby will do stuff Mainoo won’t. He will break the play up and get the ball to Mainoo.”

But it’s hard to see Amorim viewing it the same way.

With pressure mounting for United to return to their best, team selections are bound to be critical.

Reports linking Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney with a move only reinforce the sense that Collyer may find it difficult to break into the first team in the short term.

And with Amorim admitting recently that, without European football, he doesn’t need a large squad, proven talents will likely be favoured over promising prospects.

Another season on the bench will not do for Collyer

For regular game time, a season-long loan with no obligation to buy could be the best way forward.

One can only hope Ten Hag is quick to take him to Bayer Leverkusen.

The Dutchman saw potential in Collyer and might know just how to unlock it. The familiarity, combined with a move to a side that still employs a 3-4-2-1 system (if Ten Hag persists with it), could be perfect for the 21-year-old.

Collyer could thrive in the Bundesliga. Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham have already shown how well English talents adapt to German football.

A full season in a familiar system could help Collyer rediscover rhythm, develop further, and return ready to take on the Premier League.

If not, he could still be sold for a premium (like Bellingham and Sancho were), funds that INEOS could reinvest to help Amorim build his ideal United squad.
