Liverpool keen on Stuttgart Midfielder Angelo Stiller

Liverpool have reportedly entered the race to sign Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller, joining Arsenal and Manchester United in what is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing midfield transfer battles, according to TEAMtalk.

Liverpool’s Midfield Plans Under Arne Slot

Since taking charge, Arne Slot has been keen to strengthen Liverpool’s midfield options. The Reds chased Martin Zubimendi last summer, only to see the Spaniard reject a move to Anfield. Despite missing out, Slot’s faith in Ryan Gravenberch paid off as the Dutchman produced a breakout season, helping Liverpool lift the Premier League title.

This summer, Liverpool invested heavily across the squad but once again resisted the urge to sign a new midfielder. However, with Stiller now firmly on their radar, Slot seems intent on adding more depth and balance to his engine room.

Why Angelo Stiller is in Demand

Stiller, 24, has developed into one of the Bundesliga’s most reliable deep-lying playmakers. Calm on the ball, progressive in his passing, and tactically intelligent, he has caught the eye not only in Germany but across Europe. His impressive form has also earned him recognition under Julian Nagelsmann with the German national team.

The Stuttgart man has a £35m release clause in his contract, which activates next year. But there’s a twist—Stuttgart can pay a small fee to buy it out, complicating any potential negotiations for interested clubs.

    The Battle for Stiller

Liverpool aren’t alone in their pursuit. Arsenal, Manchester United, and even Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the midfielder, though Arsenal and Liverpool are said to be leading the chase. Real Madrid have also been linked but are yet to make a serious move.

Arsenal’s recent signings of Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard make another midfield addition surprising, while United are expected to prioritise midfield reinforcements next year after strengthening other areas of the squad this summer.

At just 24 and still improving, Stiller could be a clever long-term investment for whichever club wins the race—whether in January or next summer.

  • West Ham and Everton Locked in Transfer Battle for Tottenham Midfielder Yves Bissouma

West Ham and Everton Locked in Transfer Battle for Tottenham Midfielder Yves Bissouma

    [ad_1]

Spurs Outcast Now on Rivals’ Radar

West Ham United and Everton are circling Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma, with both clubs exploring a potential summer move, according to transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri.

Bissouma was left out of Thomas Frank’s squad for Spurs’ UEFA Super Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain after repeated lateness – the latest in a string of disciplinary issues. It’s not the first time he has faced such punishment, as former boss Ange Postecoglou also dropped him last season after a controversial off-field incident.

Despite his problems, few question Bissouma’s quality on the pitch. The Mali international remains one of the Premier League’s most combative midfielders, excelling at breaking up play and dominating central areas.

    West Ham’s Midfield Hunt Intensifies

The Hammers’ pursuit makes sense given their urgent need for reinforcements in midfield. Carlos Soler has returned to PSG without leaving a lasting mark at the London Stadium, leaving David Moyes in search of a reliable replacement. Bissouma, with his proven Premier League experience, fits the bill perfectly.

Everton’s Midfield Options vs. Bissouma’s Edge

Over at Goodison Park, Everton boast depth in midfield with James Garner, Idrissa Gueye, Carlos Alcaraz, Tim Iroegbunam and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Garner in particular has caught the eye in pre-season, thriving in a deeper role. However, what the Toffees arguably lack is Bissouma’s tenacity – the kind of aggressive ball-winner who shields the defence and disrupts opposition rhythm.

    What Next for Bissouma?

While a move away looks increasingly likely, staying at Spurs isn’t completely off the table. A key factor in Bissouma’s decision is his desire to remain in England for at least another season, supporting his bid to secure a British passport.

With West Ham and Everton now jostling for his signature, Tottenham could be tempted to cash in if a bid close to his £21 million Transfermarkt valuation arrives.

This summer transfer battle is heating up – and Bissouma might just be the answer to West Ham’s midfield gap or Everton’s missing bite.

  • PSG plotting €150m swoop for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez

PSG plotting €150m swoop for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez

    [ad_1]

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering a blockbuster bid for Chelsea star Enzo Fernández, with a €150 million offer being prepared to test the Blues’ resolve, according to Fichajes.

    PSG Eye Midfield Reinforcement

Luis Enrique is said to view Fernández as the ideal replacement should Spanish midfielder Fabián Ruiz leave the Parc des Princes this summer. Ruiz has been linked with Manchester United, though there are no firm indications he will depart. Still, PSG are planning ahead and could make one of the window’s biggest moves if the situation changes.

The proposed offer would reportedly include €125 million in fixed fees and €25 million in add-ons—figures that would match Chelsea’s potential asking price if they were to consider a sale.

    Why Fernández Fits PSG’s Plans

Fernández, 24, offers the passing range, work rate, and creativity that would seamlessly slot into Enrique’s system. The Argentine World Cup winner was a club-record signing for Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023 and has since become a key figure in midfield despite a challenging start in England.

    Chelsea’s Stance: Not for Sale

While Fernández has previously been linked with Real Madrid, the player is not actively pushing for a move and is believed to be settled at Stamford Bridge. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has dismissed the likelihood of a deal, confirming there have been no talks or formal bids from PSG. Chelsea remain intent on keeping their midfield lynchpin.

With PSG yet to make a major splash in the current transfer window, a potential move for Fernández would certainly grab headlines. However, unless Chelsea’s position softens, the Parisian giants may have to turn their attention elsewhere.

  • West Ham weighing up move for Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz

West Ham weighing up move for Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz

    [ad_1]

West Ham United are reportedly pushing hard to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport via TuttoJuve.

The Brazilian international previously enjoyed an impressive five-year spell in the Premier League with Aston Villa, having joined from Manchester City in 2019. Luiz made 204 appearances for Villa, registering 46 goal contributions and playing a pivotal role in their qualification for the UEFA Champions League—a first for the club in over 40 years.

However, after his move to Juventus, things haven’t gone as planned. The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under both Thiago Motta and Igor Tudor, sparking speculation over an early exit from Turin. A return to England now looks increasingly likely.

According to the report, West Ham are “determined” to bring Luiz back to the Premier League. New manager Graham Potter is said to be a strong admirer of the midfielder and believes Luiz could be a key figure in his rebuild at the London Stadium.

The Hammers are in active negotiations with Juventus, who are open to a sale. The proposed deal would include an initial loan with an £8 million fee, followed by a mandatory buy clause worth between £21–25 million based on certain performance-related conditions.

Douglas Luiz is reportedly open to the move, with the promise of regular first-team football and a leadership role at West Ham seen as highly attractive.

Why Douglas Luiz Is a Perfect Fit for West Ham

Luiz brings a mix of technical quality and steel to midfield—ranking highly across key metrics such as tackles, interceptions, progressive passes, chance creation, and high turnovers during his previous Premier League tenure.

Following a disappointing campaign last season, West Ham need midfield reinforcements who can lead by example. Luiz offers not just experience and ball-winning ability, but also the mentality and presence to galvanise a squad that struggled for identity and consistency.

If the deal is completed, Douglas Luiz could be exactly the kind of signing West Ham need to spark a new era under Graham Potter.

Former Manchester United midfielder Maxi Oyedele to join Ligue 1 side – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Manchester United are set to benefit from the transfer of their former midfielder Maxi Oyedele.

United headed into the summer transfer window with a very limited budget after missing out on European football.

As such, the Red Devils were expected to aggressively sell their fringe players to fund a squad revamp for Ruben Amorim.

Manchester United struggling to offload outcasts

Still, Ineos are yet to sell any player despite having publicly pushed Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho out of the first-team fold.

All four forwards have been told to not train with the first-team players at Carrington.

Interestingly, United have raised over £10 million this summer due to sell-on clauses they included in previous departures.

Manchester United to earn over £2m from Oyedele’s transfer

Anthony Elanga’s move to Newcastle United from Nottingham Forest saw United earn around £6m. Meanwhile, Alvaro Carreras’ return to Real Madrid should see the Mancunians take home around £7.6m. Now, United are set to bank a further £2.1m.

Chelsea’s sister club RC Strasbourg Alsace have reportedly reached an agreement to complete the signing of Oyedele from Legia Warsaw.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Ligue 1 side have triggered the €6m release clause in his contract.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who is known for his ball-winning ability and tenacity, joined the Ekstraklasa outfit in the summer of 2024.

Early in the season, his impressive performances in Warsaw led to a surprise call-up to the Poland senior team for their Nations League fixtures against Portugal and Croatia.

Now, he has earned a promising move to Ligue 1. The Italian journalist claims Oyedele underwent medical tests on Tuesday and will sign a contract until 2031 later tonight.

United included a 40 per cent sell-on clause in their agreement with Legia last summer.

  • Newcastle United Leading the Race for Lazio Midfielder Matteo Guendouzi

Newcastle United Leading the Race for Lazio Midfielder Matteo Guendouzi

    [ad_1]

Newcastle United are reportedly frontrunners to secure the signature of French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi from Lazio in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness, the 26-year-old has emerged as a top target for Eddie Howe’s side as they search for a dynamic box-to-box midfielder to bolster their engine room. Lazio are believed to be open to selling Guendouzi, but only for a fee in the region of €40 million.

Guendouzi’s Revival Sparks Premier League Interest

Once a promising youngster at Arsenal, Guendouzi has reignited his career in Italy. After a successful spell at Marseille, Lazio initially brought him in on loan in 2023 before making the move permanent last summer. Since then, he’s been a mainstay in the Biancocelesti midfield, clocking over 4,000 minutes in 48 appearances and contributing one goal and five assists.

His consistent performances in Serie A haven’t gone unnoticed, drawing interest from several clubs across Europe. But Newcastle are said to be in pole position, thanks to their ambition and a clear midfield need.

    Perfect Fit for the Magpies?

With uncertainty looming over the futures of Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock, Newcastle are eyeing reinforcements that can provide depth and quality. Guendouzi, with his Premier League experience and renewed form, fits the bill perfectly.

Lazio’s failure to qualify for the Champions League could pave the way for a summer exit. Whether this is Guendouzi’s return to England or a move for leverage in contract talks remains to be seen—but Newcastle appear ready to pounce.
