  • Man United weighing up £35m move for Franco Mastantuono

Man United weighing up £35m move for Franco Mastantuono

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to step up their pursuit of River Plate’s 17-year-old sensation Franco Mastantuono, as they look to inject fresh talent into their squad.

According to Give Me Sport, the Red Devils are growing increasingly keen on the Argentine starlet, who has a £35 million release clause in his contract. Mastantuono is widely regarded as one of South America’s hottest prospects and could be a transformative signing for United’s long-term future.

A Rising Star with Huge Potential

Technically gifted and composed beyond his years, Mastantuono has already drawn attention from top European clubs. Manchester United’s interest highlights their ongoing strategy to build a core of young, high-ceiling talents. If nurtured correctly, the teenage midfielder could evolve into a world-class playmaker capable of adding flair and creativity to United’s final third.

A move to the Premier League might be the perfect environment for his development. United have a solid track record of promoting young talents, and Mastantuono could thrive under the right guidance at Old Trafford.

    United Must Act Fast

With multiple clubs monitoring his situation, United would be wise to act swiftly before a bidding war drives the price higher. For a club in need of attacking spark, investing in a player of Mastantuono’s calibre could prove to be a bargain in hindsight.

Only time will tell if Manchester United can seal the deal—but landing the Argentine prodigy could be a game-changer for the club’s future.

  • Manchester United prepared to make a move for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United prepared to make a move for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United could make a concrete move for Brentford wide forward Bryan Mbeumo this summer, as per reports.

United’s winless streak in the Premier League extended to six games after their 4-3 defeat at Brentford. This time, the Red Devils were undone by their defensive fragility, but Ruben Amorim’s biggest concern this term has been the side’s lack of forward quality.

Apart from the three relegated sides, only West Ham United and Everton have scored fewer Premier League goals than United this term.

It has been widely reported that the Mancunians are interested in the likes of Liam Delap and Victor Osimhen as they look to find a new number nine to spearhead their attack.

Should United fail to get their hands on their main targets, they could reportedly intensify their interest in Mbeumo, who was one of Brentford’s standout stars this Sunday.

Givemesport claim that Mbeumo will become a “more realistic” target for United if they do not manage to land the strikers they want this summer.

It is understood that Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha is the “priority for their vision of signing a new attacker.”

The technically proficient Brazilian is expected to play as one of the two number 10s in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation. However, the ex-Atletico Madrid man is also capable of playing as a centre-forward.

The report suggests United could consider signing Mbeumo to play on the flanks and pushing Cunha more centrally if the likes of Delap and Osimhen don’t arrive.

The Cameroon international has also featured as a striker under Thomas Frank but he thrives on the right flank.

Despite not playing centrally, Mbeumo has cemented himself as one of the Premier League’s most prolific players this season. He has scored 18 goals and registered seven assists so far. As such, his arrival would certainly strengthen United’s attack, irrespective of how Amorim decides to use him.

At this point, however, United are focused on getting the deal over the line for Cunha, as per Fabrizio Romano. The race for Mbeumo’s signature, meanwhile, is described as “open”.

  • Ian Wright pleased Arsenal made Ollie Watkins move

Ian Wright says he was ‘pleased’ ARSENAL at least made an attempt to sign Ollie Watkins this winter, as the Gunners made a last minute move to sign the Aston Villa star on deadline day.

Fans have been calling for the Gunners to strengthen in the final third in recent weeks, especially after injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus. But Arsenal were unable to bring in any players in the final days of the window, and Mikel Arteta has admitted he is unhappy with his lack of options up front.

The likes of Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Dusan Vlahovic and Yoane Wissa were all linked in recent weeks, as well as Ollie Watkins and Alexander Isak, but Wright believes it was ‘always going to be tough’ for Arsenal to bring in the calibre of player they desired.

‘It was always going to be tough for us. Isak wasn’t even an option,’ the legendary ex-Arsenal striker said on the Wrighty’s House podcast.

‘When we’re talking about strikers, it’s a gamble and I don’t care who you are. Darwin Nunez, Rasmus Hojlund… Isak went for £63m, he’s the only one in recent times that I’m looking at as a striker who has probably doubled his money.

‘You look at Nicolas Jackson. For £32m, I’m happy with that. But when you start getting past £50m, you have to start thinking that it’s a pure gamble.

‘They’re hoping that it works and I don’t think Arsenal can afford to do that. That’s probably why they went for a 29-year-old in Ollie Watkins or Villa tried to get him to come to us, whatever it was.

‘As a club, I don’t think we can afford to take the chance on those kind of signings hitting or missing. It has to hit with Arsenal and this is why it’s so tough.

‘I’ve always thought it was so difficult to get somebody in January. Who is going to leave at that stage who is the calibre of player you want? We’re going to have to see something in the summer.’

    Reporter Iomie Stanley says…

ARSENAL f****d up by not signing a new striker in the January window, they had the whole month to make moves, they could have got Jhon Duran for just £54 million if they made an offer, but now, they waited until deadline day to make moves.

‘If Arsenal wants to win that title, they need a striker, someone that can score 30 goals a season, they have players that can create chances, but Kai Havertz is not good enough and it could cost them come the end of the season.’

  • Carney Chukwuemeka very happy with Borussia Dortmund move

Carney Chukwuemeka has opened up and revealed that he is very grateful to have made the January move to Borussia Dortmund, to end his nightmare season at CHELSEA.

Chelsea originally signed Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa in a deal worth €18 million ($18.5 million) in 2022. However, the 21-year-old English midfielder, who was born in Eisenstadt, Austria, struggled to play time at the Blues.

Since joining the club, Chukwuemeka has managed just 32 appearances (two goals and one assist) across all competitions and really failed to make an sort of impact under Enzo Maresca, and that prompted him to make the loan move to Dortmund.

And after sealing that move to the Bundesliga, the midfielder opened up and revealed just how delighted he is with the move: “Everything is rather surreal. I’m just absorbing every moment. This is a huge club, who were in the Champions League final last season. I was grateful to be able to watch it, a few of my friends were on the pitch. But yes, it’s a surreal feeling. I’m so happy to be here and I can barely wait to get started.”

‘I was born in Vienna – but I was only there for two years. So that wasn’t long enough to learn German properly. But my father speaks fluent German. So I will try to learn as much as I can from him.”

“I’m a player who likes to express himself on the pitch, I play without fear. I like to dribble, initiate moves, pass and shoot. I will always give my all for the badge. I’m honestly very grateful that I’m here. Fans can expect all of that from me. I will give my all in every game.”

“The Champions League final last season, of course. The way they got there. And of course there are also a number of English talents who have really flourished here: Jude [Bellingham, ed.], Jaden [Sancho, ed.], Jamie [Gittens, ed.].

‘This big club is able to make talents big. It’s a big club in general, the stadium is huge, the fans are great. I was on the bench a few years ago when BVB played Chelsea in the Champions League. I still remember the volume of the yellow wall, it was a great atmosphere.”

“I would say it’s a chance for me to show what I can do. I can’t thank the club enough for the trust they’ve shown in me. That alone was an important reason for me to come here. But, as I said, it’s also the array of talent that has developed here.

‘That makes it the right move for me right now. I want to showcase my talent in Europe and I want to help us all, the club, to be successful.”
