Joshua Zirkzee’s price tag set as Brighton storm into race for Man United star – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Brighton and Hove Albion have reportedly become the latest club to join the race for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee.

    Zirkzee struggles at United

After finishing last season on a high following a difficult start, Zirkzee has struggled to build on that momentum, leaving his future shrouded in extreme uncertainty.

During the summer transfer window, United brought in three attacking players: Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko. As a result, Zirkzee has slipped down the pecking order and found opportunities on the pitch increasingly hard to come by.

Zirkzee has yet to start a game this term, only managing 82 minutes of action across all competitions. He has been an unused substitute on four separate occasions.

A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the 24-year-old is unhappy with his situation and is firmly open to leaving United in January in search of regular playing time elsewhere.

Zirkzee is believed to be keen on forcing his way into the Netherlands team for the World Cup and in order to do so, he can’t afford to be on the bench.

There is no shortage of interest in the former Bologna man. He has been linked with the likes of Napoli, Juventus, AS Roma, Everton and West Ham.

Now, according to Graeme Bailey [via Sussex World], Brighton are also eyeing the disgruntled United star.

    Brighton want Zirkzee

The report states that Brighton are a “potential destination” for Zirkzee ahead of the winter window.

It’s understood that the player is valued at around €35–40 million, indicating that United could be open to letting him go after just two seasons.

Ruben Amorim is thought to be a fan of Zirkzee and would prefer to retain him, but circumstances could ultimately necessitate a parting of ways.

However, there are still several weeks to go before January, and much could change in that time. It also remains uncertain whether Brighton would be prepared to spend that much on Zirkzee, particularly given his well-known desire for a new challenge.

  • Manchester United slash Rasmus Hojlund’s asking price with Juventus preparing first offer – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United slash Rasmus Hojlund’s asking price with Juventus preparing first offer – Man United News And Transfer News

    [ad_1]

Ruben Amorim’s decision to start Rasmus Hojlund up front for Manchester United’s Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur was one of the major decisions the head coach got wrong.

The Dane has been in miserable form all season, and the Portuguese tactician should have gone for a much bolder approach, even a false nine system, with Joshua Zirkzee not fit to start.

However, his selection call backfired as expected, and it is clear that the Denmark international should not be anywhere close to starting for a club of United’s stature.

INEOS want to sell him but are aware that his disastrous form means the club are unlikely to recoup anywhere close to
the initial €75 million they paid Atalanta for his services in 2023.

    Rasmus Hojlund price slashed

Initially, the co-owners had slapped a €60 million price tag on the United No 9’s head amid interest from Juventus but the Turin-based club had no intention of going that high.

Now, as per Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), the Red Devils have decided to slash Hojlund’s asking price by €10 million with the report claiming United will “happily cash in between €50m and €55m” from the sale.

The Bianconeri need a striker and also have Victor Osimhen on their list of targets but the feeling is the ex-Atalanta player’s relatively his low wages would make him a safer target.

The 22-year-old earns £85,000 gross per week (via capology), while the Nigerian would command £300,000 gross per week minimum while Napoli are also hesitant to sell to a direct rival.

Juventus deal for Rasmus Hojlund dependant on CL qualification

The report also mentions that Champions League qualification would make it easy for Juventus to afford Rasmus Hojlund.

Juve are currently fourth, and can qualify by sealing a win against Venezia, who are fighting to stave off relegation, on Sunday.

Based on Hojlund’s form, it still seems more likely that United could be forced into loaning him out to try and restore his value, much like the Antony and Jadon Sancho operations.

Juventus have been linked with a loan approach as well while there is also interest from Turkey. It will be intriguing to see how INEOS go about clearing this mess in the summer.

Everton slap £70 million price tag on Jarrad Branthwaite to end Manchester United’s chances of signing him – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United currently have three centre-backs out injured, while two are set to leave in the summer, and Ruben Amorim could do with help in the defensive department once the transfer window opens.

Lisandro Martinez is out till next year with an ACL injury. Even upon his return, the World Cup winner could be set for a position change.

Matthijs de Ligt suffered an injury against Brentford and will miss at least the next two games. Ayden Heaven is also sidelined.

Add Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof‘s impending departures, and all Amorim has are Leny Yoro, an ageing Harry Maguire and an unfit Luke Shaw. Young Tyler Fredricson has impressed but he needs to bulk up.

    Defence needs help

Jarrad Branthwaite has been a long-term target for INEOS, who failed with two bids for the Englishman last summer.

Talks of a move have refused to die down amid the 22-year-old’s imperious form for the Toffees this season.

Amid another potential summer approach, Teamtalk have suggested that David Moyes’ return has changed the Merseyside outfit’s outlook with the owners set to back the former United boss in the market.

And Everton will not allow the England international to leave for anything less than £70 million and they will not change their valuation come what may.

    Everton not budging

“Everton are point-blank refusing to part with Jarrad Branthwaite for anything less than their valuation this summer no matter which side wants to sign him, sources have revealed to TEAMtalk, leaving Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s big transfer dream facing capitulation.

“Sources have confirmed the Toffees have slapped a £70 million (€82.6m, $93.7m) minimum price tag on the defender – and they’re not budging.”

Lots of clubs were interested in Branthwaite with the centre-back helping the Toffees keep nine clean sheets. But it seems he could be staying put for now.

United have other positions in greater need of reinforcements and it is unlikely INEOS will sanction such an extensive outlay on a centre-back this summer.

  • Liverpool Set Darwin Nunez Price as Atletico Madrid Circle for Summer Transfer

Liverpool Set Darwin Nunez Price as Atletico Madrid Circle for Summer Transfer

    [ad_1]

As Liverpool bask in the glory of their Premier League title triumph, transfer speculation is heating up — and Darwin Nunez is firmly in the spotlight. The Uruguayan striker could be heading for the Anfield exit door this summer, with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid eyeing a potential move.

Nunez Transfer Talks Begin as Liverpool Reveal Asking Price

According to Spanish outlet AS, Liverpool have set a price tag of €40m to €45m (£34m–£38m) for the 25-year-old forward. That’s a significant drop from the €75m they paid Benfica just two years ago, but reflects his mixed impact and limited starts under new boss Arne Slot.

Despite netting five goals and providing two assists in the league, Nunez found himself slipping down the pecking order this season — featuring mostly from the bench during the title run-in.

Atletico Madrid in the Lead — But Not Alone

Atletico Madrid, under Diego Simeone, are believed to be admirers of Nunez’s aggressive style and physical presence. Reports claim Simeone has been “seduced” by the striker’s attributes, with the club open to striking a deal — especially if Liverpool agree to a loan with an obligation to buy.

However, they’re not without competition. Saudi giants Al-Nassr are also monitoring the situation, although Nunez reportedly prefers to stay in Europe at this stage of his career.

    What’s Next for Nunez?

Liverpool’s willingness to loan the striker — provided most of his wages are covered — opens the door for multiple suitors. With Champions League football on offer, Atletico may currently lead the race, but other European clubs could soon join the chase.

Will Darwin Nunez find his spark in La Liga, or will another twist await in his Premier League journey?
