Everton eye proven Premier League forward to solve attacking woes

Everton are reportedly lining up a sensational swoop for Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, with the Brazilian expected to be available for around £25-30 million next year, according to AS Roma Live.

The 28-year-old has struggled for consistent game time at the Emirates following the arrival of Viktor Gyökeres this summer. With Kai Havertz also ahead of him in the pecking order, Jesus looks set to move on in search of regular football.

Why Jesus to Everton makes sense

For Everton, this could be a golden opportunity. The Toffees have lacked firepower in the final third and securing a proven Premier League forward like Jesus could transform their attack. Having already enjoyed success with Manchester City and Arsenal, the Brazilian brings not only goals but also creativity and versatility across the front three.

Sean Dyche’s men are desperate to climb back into the top half of the table, and an experienced striker with Jesus’ pedigree could be the difference-maker. His ability to link play, press from the front, and create openings for teammates makes him far more than just a poacher.

    A bargain opportunity?

At £25-30 million, Jesus represents a potentially shrewd piece of business. Despite recent struggles, he remains a proven match-winner when fit and confident. For Everton, it could be the kind of marquee signing that lifts the entire squad.

    The bigger picture

While European clubs are also monitoring the situation, the lure of staying in the Premier League could work in Everton’s favour. Arsenal, meanwhile, are open to cashing in as they reshape their forward line around Gyökeres.

For Gabriel Jesus, Goodison Park could offer the perfect stage to reignite his career. For Everton, it might just be the move that changes their attacking fortunes.

Gary Neville rips into Rashford after his remarks on Man United’s woes – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United legend Gary Neville launched a fierce dig at Marcus Rashford after the player recently criticised the club’s progress over the past few years.

    Rashford’s verdict on United’s woes

Rashford joined Barcelona on loan last month. He is set to spend the entirety of the 2025/26 campaign with the Blaugrana, where he will be hoping to impress and make the transfer a permanent one.

The Carrington academy graduate enjoyed a good pre-season with the Catalan giants and made his La Liga debut over the weekend as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Mallorca. Rashford came on as a substitute in the second half.

Last week, Rashford spoke to Gary Lineker and Micah Richards, where he delivered a stinging verdict of United’s issues, carefully detailing where the club have fallen short since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.

Rashford branded United “reactionary” and questioned their policy of hiring and sacking managers. He also speculated that the Red Devils don’t appear to have a clear and defined way of going about their rebuild.

The 27-year-old’s remarks sparked considerable debate among the fanbase. While some supporters understood his perspective, given his years as an insider, others reacted less positively.

Appearing on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Neville was asked about Rashford’s sentiments and was quick to brush them aside, insisting that the forward had lost his right to give an opinion on the situation.

    Neville responds to Rashford’s comments

Neville said, “Let’s ignore that, because I don’t want to go into Marcus Rashford comments tonight.”

“He was there at the club for 10 years and had his opportunity to impact the club. Ruben Amorim, this year, I think will do a good job.”

    “Marcus should concentrate on Barcelona.”

Neville also weighed in on United’s performance against Arsenal on Sunday. He was more positive about this and pointed out that there were a lot of positives to take from the game despite the fact that it ended in a defeat.

“Yesterday was the first time I watched that formation out on Old Trafford, where I thought, ‘Right, we’ve got a chance here, that worked.’”

“He’d brought in a few different players, he’d got [Mason] Mount back, introduced Luke Shaw at left centre-back, that helped and I think it was the first time, it’s a difficult, rare system, it needs specialists, but when you saw [Matheus] Cunha play, saw Mount play, saw Shaw at left centre-back – there was a balance!”

“Casemiro looked a better player all of a sudden! Just straight away he looked a better player.”

United are back in action on Sunday when they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.
